This meditation uses poetry to help us get through the feeling of "not good enough" by reminding us that we are enough as we are right now. The words in this meditation ground us in our wholeness and completeness, regardless of what is happening outside of us. Music Credit: Pixabay Royalty Free Music - Relaxing Music Volume 1

Welcome to this meditation today on feeling enough.

This is Katarina,

Ex-FBI turned therapist,

And I want to talk to you about feeling worthy,

Feeling enough,

And how this really impacts us in our day to day.

This meditation is written,

As many of mine are,

In a spoken word poetry format.

I do this because this format has helped me really unlock the creative part of my brain that is often hidden behind my logical brain,

And that's what I hope it does for you today.

But what a tricky concept,

Feeling enough.

I can speak for me and say that feeling enough often feels like giving up.

Maybe that's the high achiever in me,

But it just becomes a slippery,

Defeating slope.

So I hope the words that I use today in this meditation will help you feel enough exactly where you are right now,

Because that's the truth.

Feeling enough is available to you right now,

Wherever you are.

Crack open this little inner critic in us and ultimately be kinder to ourselves.

So let's get comfortable,

Choose the position that best suits you today,

Straighten your back and sit in a seat,

Or lay down.

This is your journey,

So make it what is most comfortable for you.

Let's close our eyes and really get into our bodies.

Breathe in and breathe out as you continue to settle in.

Remember,

It's not how you're doing the meditation,

It's that you are doing the meditation.

Just be comfortable in whatever way best suits you.

That's what matters.

Breathe in again,

Breathe out,

And let's dive into the words around feeling enough.

The hollowness you sometimes feel deep in your chest,

Don't let it define you.

You see,

We sometimes feel empty as if we haven't done,

Haven't been,

Haven't seen enough.

We crave certainty.

We crave completeness.

We crave wholeness,

Yet we chase it through external markers.

We chase it through the eyes of others.

And the irony is that the more we chase,

The more we hollow out.

Our paths to completeness,

To being full,

To being enough lie along the hills of our own passions.

The bounty of us,

That's eternal.

It's internal.

So let's feast upon the stories of us,

Not the tales of another.

To fight the hollowness is to continue to fill your soul up,

To drink on the nectar of what makes you,

You.

Find your joy and do more of that.

Find your community and spend more time with them.

Find your serenity and make time for it each day.

You are enough.

You've always been enough.

You will continue being enough if you just pay attention to you.

So let me ask you,

When you shut out the noise and you listen deep within,

What feels good in your life?

What doesn't?

You only have one life.

Go on and live it.

There's only one you on this planet.

Go on and be you.

And in so doing,

You'll feel more full than ever.

You'll feel more than enough.

That's always been true.

It will continue to be true.

It is just time for you to finally see it and feel it.

You are more than enough.

Now take another cleansing,

Deep breath in and slowly release it.

Let's let the words that we just heard sink in,

But release any negativity that may have come up through this practice.

And when you are ready,

You can open your eyes.

As I often suggest after these meditations,

I'm going to suggest journaling again on what came up for you through this practice today.

Journaling is just another tool in my toolbox that helps me solidify words I hear and how they impact me.

And I hope that journaling for you will do the same.

It's best when it's fresh and you just hear it,

But maybe thoughts come up to you throughout the whole day.

Don't try to control that.

Let it flow.

This approach and these words may be a bit unconventional,

But my hope is that it will make you unstoppable.

And I can be pretty unapologetic in that belief.

Well,

As always,

I am Katarina and I hope you have an amazing day.
