Welcome to this guided meditation on releasing overthinking and inviting peace.
I am Kim and your guide for today.
Let's start by finding a quiet comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
For this meditation you can choose to sit or lie down and just be in a comfortable relaxed position.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Repeat this a few times and allowing yourself to finally settle into stillness and feel the connection between your body and the surface beneath you and imagine roots growing from your body into the earth grounding you and stabilizing you and with every breath you feel more supported and more present.
Now bring awareness of the mind and shift your attention to any thoughts that are circling,
Things that you have been perhaps overthinking,
Situations which is outside of your circle of control.
Observe them.
Notice these thoughts and the emotions that arises as a result of these thoughts.
Observe the thoughts and imagine they are clouds in the sky passing by.
You do not need to hold on to them.
Just notice them and let them drift.
With your next inhale silently say to yourself I acknowledge what I cannot control and as you exhale say I release what isn't mine to carry.
Breathe in peace and breathe out tension.
Breathe in peace and breathe out tension.
With each breath imagine the weight of overthinking dissolving.
Passing in the sky on a breezy day as clouds do.
Now picture a warm golden light filling this empty space where overthinking once occupied.
This light is radiant.
This light is a light of peace,
Clarity and inner freedom.
Feel it expanding,
Warming your heart,
Your mind,
Your body and as we anchor this feeling silently or out loud repeat to yourself I am done overthinking things that are outside of my control.
I give myself permission to release what isn't mine to carry and I make space for peace in my mind and my heart.
Feel these words anchoring,
Settling deep within you and becoming your truth.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your body through adjusting,
Wiggling your fingers,
Toes.
I invite you to take one last deep breath in through your nose and exhale with a sigh and when you feel ready gently open your eyes and carry this peace with you.
You are at ease.
