Hello and welcome to our meditation for today.

My name is Kim from Mindfulness Manor and I love being with you through our guided meditations.

Today's meditation shares on letting go of what is unimportant so that we can create space of clarity and have capacity in order to be mindful throughout our day.

So I'd like to invite you to find a quiet space,

Somewhere where you could sit comfortably and relax without being disturbed.

Take a moment and close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth and allow your body to come into relaxation with each breath.

I'd like us to start with an opening affirmation.

Today I choose to release all that is unimportant.

I free myself from the grasp of what does not serve my highest good.

Take another deep breath in here and as you exhale imagine releasing this weight of distractions,

Obligations or worries that no longer belong to you.

Imagine yourself standing on the shore of a vast calm blue ocean.

The waves are gently lapping at your feet and in your hands you hold this bundle of small insignificant objects,

Each of them representing something unimportant that has cluttered your mind.

You look down at your hands and with intention you place this bundle into the water and watch as the ocean carries it away.

You feel the lightness in your hands as they empty and you feel the openness in your mind as space is created for clarity and purpose.

Now you place your hand over your heart and repeat silently or aloud,

I claim my mind for the light of truth.

My thoughts are guided by clarity and purpose.

My heart is aligned with the what truly matters.

I claim my mind for the light of truth.

My thoughts are guided by clarity and purpose.

My heart is aligned with what truly matters.

Take a deep breath in,

Feeling a soft radiant light expanding from your heart and spreading through your body and forming a protective shield around you.

This shield guards you from distractions and negativity.

Now envision your day ahead.

See yourself moving through your tasks with calm and purpose.

Picture each action guided by wisdom and focus.

When something unimportant arises,

Imagine it gently sliding off your protective shield,

Unable to penetrate and disturb your peace.

Same to yourself,

I allow my time to serve me,

Not the other way around.

I notice and act on what is meaningful.

I release and overlook the rest.

And as we come to the end of our meditation and you stay in the space of stillness,

Ask silently,

May I have the mental and emotional discipline to discern what is important today.

May I act with purpose and grace,

Honoring my time and energy as sacred gifts.

May peace guide my thoughts and love anchor my actions.

Take a few more deep breaths here,

Feeling grounded and steady.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Carrying the sense of purpose and clarity into your day.

With the wisdom to focus on what matters.

And remember,

Today you are free.

The unimportant no longer holds any power over you.

Namaste.
