The gamification of your life Gamification is a new approach in teaching people And this is the path that is light and playful compared to the conventional,

Boring and dull teachings So it's like a character in a game console working his way through various obstacles solving problems and climbing to ever new levels and greater challenges This principle of a computer game captures the attention of billions of people Online and computer games have become an integral part of the current world It is a billion dollar business around always new and constantly improved graphics Many millions of people seek the satisfaction of having achieved a goal in an artificial playing field a pull for more and more and faster and faster The addiction mechanisms of psychology can be studied here well in practice With the same stimulus there is less and less the feeling of happiness that can be found The body's own reward sent adults the happiness hormones dopamine and serotonin no longer have the desired effect It takes much more for a comparable sense of achievement Incidentally the shift and threshold can also be observed biologically in the brain But what is the consequence?

Dissatisfaction,

Relentlessness,

Drivenness like in an addiction Gamification on the other hand uses the familiar mechanisms of reward of passing users through an interface like a game and rewards with appropriate effects such as music,

Sounds,

Collecting credits or something like that This feedback signals the user Well done,

You did it,

Keep going!

So this principle can actually improve learning success enormously for example with vocabulary or memory tasks Learning thus no longer appears in an image of boredom,

Heaviness and inertia Instead it is possible to learn new things and acquire knowledge in an easy and playful way Gamification But now that you have taken a look at the world of computer games and the transfer of the concept to the world of learning What about you?

What about your life?

Can't you also use these principles yourself?

Seeing your life through the lens of a game is an interesting perspective,

Isn't it?

So the next appointment with your colleague becomes a challenge Coordinating appointments to test your skills So the appointment with the boss becomes a challenge which has to be mastered in the best possible way in order to move to the next level With this perspective every difficulty becomes a challenge to get ahead Bad weather is a test to pass and too much stress at work is a finger pointing that you should also move to the next level from freeing yourself from this stress Even household chores will come easily without effort with ease and positive confidence A storm knocked down a tree on your garden fence?

Challenge accepted I don't have enough money right now?

Challenge accepted I am currently unhappy with my apartment?

Challenge accepted I don't feel good in my body right now and want to lose 2 kilos to improve this?

Challenge accepted You see this principle can be applied to practically every area of your life What are your experiences with this idea?

Have you already been able to implement it for yourself?

Did you experience some examples where you look at your life through the lens of gamification and reach your personal next level?

Feel free to write this in the comments I am happy to hear from you!
