In this one-minute guided mindfulness session, we'll use awareness & breathing to stimulate your senses and reset your body and mind so you can enjoy your food. Studies show that when we eat mindfully we tend to digest better and are much more satisfied with our food.

It looks like your dining room is a space for working and eating.

When you're working from home,

It can't really be avoided,

But before you eat,

Let's create some mental space between work and rest.

You'll take your hands onto your belly,

And as you inhale,

You'll let the belly press out into the hands and expand.

As you exhale,

Actively draw your belly button towards your spine and fully empty the breath.

We're going to do two more like that.

Inhale,

Belly puffs out.

Let the muscles relax.

Exhale,

Think actively drawing the navel in.

Last one like this.

Big breath in.

And long breath out.

It's incredible how just a few deep mindful breaths can really start to ease the tension in the mind.

I hope you enjoy your lunch.

If you like how you feel now,

I'll be right here tomorrow for your next one minute of mindfulness.
