Welcome to In the Flow,
A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.
We will laugh,
Cry,
Meditate,
And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,
Meditation,
Prayer,
And the afterlife.
Life is so full of lessons if we are willing to notice them.
I always bring my life to this,
Right?
Because that's where we get our lessons is from our life,
Right?
So I was really,
Really busy yesterday.
I had so many things I was juggling and blah,
Blah,
Blah.
Good stuff.
Like,
Amazing stuff,
Right?
So there was just a lot going on in my life and in my head,
You know?
But all of a sudden I looked at the clock and it was like 4.
30 and I thought,
Oh,
I need to do my bookend meditation.
Now,
Not everybody needs to do this,
Right,
But if you become really into meditation,
David G calls them the bookends.
I don't know if anybody else does,
But David G calls them the bookends,
Right?
Meditations,
Like you do one in the morning and then you do one at night or in the afternoon,
Right?
So 4.
30,
Somewhere around there I like to do my second one because it sort of completes everything,
Right?
So,
I was really like,
You know,
I knew that I had to do,
I knew that I had other stuff I needed to do first,
Right?
But then I was like,
No,
I'm going to do it because I didn't want to put it off because it's so easy to just like blow that off,
Right?
So I have to tell you,
I am here to testify that the second meditation,
And it only needs to be maybe five minutes,
Just to get yourself in that quiet place again and like just come back into yourself and just sit in the stillness just for a few minutes,
Right?
I'm here to testify that it changes everything.
If you're at all like serious about really having a meditation practice and like you really want to make it like make a difference in your life,
The bookend meditation is like,
Oh my gosh,
I'm just saying,
You know,
And maybe it's not true for everybody,
Although I don't know anybody that it doesn't work for,
But whatever.
All I did was it was like literally like five minutes and I went from this place of anxiety and stress and like,
Oh my God,
I got to do this and like,
You know,
To a place of like pure peace.
It felt like pure peace.
It was awesome.
Right.
And love.
Oh my God,
There was so much love.
I quick,
Right after I was done,
I was like,
Oh my God,
I have so much love for the world,
You know?
So I quick and I got on my Instagram and I was like,
Oh my God,
You know,
You guys,
This is so cool.
I feel so awesome right now.
You know,
So that is that,
Right?
Now here's what I want to say about this.
Even if you don't have five minutes in the afternoon,
Which,
You know,
That old Zen quote comes to mind every time I say that,
Even if you don't have five minutes in the afternoon,
That old Zen quote comes to mind where it says,
If you're too busy to meditate for one hour,
Then you should meditate for two hours.
You know,
It's like that.
That comes to my mind,
Right?
So but even if you don't have five minutes or you feel like you don't have five minutes,
There's the 16 second meditation,
Which I've talked about numerous times,
Right?
You breathe in for four seconds to the count of four,
You hold it to the count of four,
Breathe out to the count of four and then hold again to the count of four.
And that completes that cycle.
And if you do that a couple of times,
You can even do that,
Like sitting at your desk at work or you can do that in the car.
You know,
It just,
You know,
That sort of thing,
You know?
So anyway,
So yesterday after all,
You know,
In that place,
All I could think of after I had meditated was,
You know what,
All is well.
All is well,
Right?
So guess what our meditation today is?
That's our mantra for today.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Yeah,
All is well.
May seem like the world is in chaos around you and everything's spinning,
But all is well.
So,
All right,
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
And whenever you feel ready,
Close your eyes.
Perfect.
Start to calm yourself down,
Sitting in your chair or lying down.
Let's take a nice deep breath in through your nose and hold it just for a second and then release it.
Always perfect.
Always so good.
Even just taking a deep breath can change everything,
Can release that stress,
Right?
Let's do that again.
One more deep breath in through your nose and release it through your mouth.
Awesome.
Perfect.
So as we get ready to sit in the stillness,
What is our practice?
Almost daily we have been raising our vibration by considering all that we are grateful for.
So what are you grateful for today?
What is it that you're grateful for today?
Keeping that vibration high and thinking about all the great things in your life.
For some,
You may be able to rattle off 15 or 20 and some people may only be able to find one or two,
But that's okay.
We're all in a different place and we can all be as we're going to be.
I know I mentioned this as one of my gratefuls,
But boy do I love my first cup of coffee in the morning.
It truly brings a bit of peace to me.
That's that taste.
For some,
It may be some tea or orange juice.
What brings you joy?
What makes you grateful?
So our mantra for today,
As I said,
Is all is well.
Imagine going through your life saying this to yourself when anything comes your way,
Sad,
Challenging.
Imagine saying this to yourself.
All is well.
All is well.
So as we sit in the stillness,
I will keep the time for us.
Consider the mantra,
All is well.
If you lose the mantra or start to forget it or morphs into something else,
That's all okay.
Just come back to your breath and focus on that.
All is well.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.
Perfect.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes and know that all is well.
That's just awesome,
Right?
So today take with you that all is well.
Take with you all is well.
So thank you for joining as always from my heart to yours.
Namaste.
