We were made of the divine. We are the universe. We are spirit. My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,

Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.

Let's get in the flow.

You know,

I get asked all the time what it's actually like to speak to those that have passed,

Those on the other side.

And you know,

The answer is kind of complex,

To be honest.

You know,

I love what I do.

I absolutely adore connecting people with their deceased loved ones on the other side,

Just to offer that place of comfort,

You know.

But I gotta be honest,

Some days I feel the weight of it.

Not a lot,

A lot,

But some days I feel the weight.

Some days I just feel every single ounce of the sadness that people are feeling,

You know.

And it's hard to watch people,

For somebody who likes to bring people up and make people happy,

It's sometimes difficult to feel all those feelings.

And you know,

That is the empath in me.

That's just what I am.

And so I'll sit and I'll think about that.

And it makes me really wish that people could be more compassionate with others.

And you know,

Instead of leading with like suspicion,

You know,

Like you look at somebody instead of being suspicious,

Look at them with compassion,

You know,

Or lead with love,

As I like to say a lot.

I just wish that the world would be more kind to one another.

And you know,

Before you start to say to yourself,

Well,

Isn't that very John Lennon of her,

You know.

But honestly,

That's kind of how I have felt since I was a child.

But I would squelch those feelings,

You know,

Because it sounds so ooh-doo-woo-woo-woo and all of that stuff.

But you know what?

Embracing my own feelings,

Embracing who we are.

Whether that sounds naive to some,

You know,

Because I know I get myself so upset whenever I hear all these really ridiculously horrible things that are happening in the world,

Right?

I get really sad because of,

And again,

The empath in me,

Right?

I get really sad because I think to myself,

Why can't people just be nice to each other?

Like,

I don't get it,

But yet I get it,

If that makes any sense,

You know.

It's taken me,

And I have to be honest again,

It's taken me years to be able to speak like this to you guys about how I feel about this kind of stuff.

Because I didn't,

I felt like I was going to look at,

Like I was just,

Oh,

Just some dumb blonde or this ditz person.

I was looked at like that for a long time while I was younger.

And so I would squelch who I was.

I would just be like,

I would,

You know,

I would just not speak my truth and be who I,

You know,

And say what I was really thinking.

I would go along with what other people would say.

Oh,

You know,

Just to be liked.

But now,

And I feel like I've,

Hopefully I've made amends to those that I might have offended in the process,

You know,

But I know it sounds very naive of me to be,

To talk this way,

But it's who we are.

And I realized that if we aren't being truthful with ourselves,

Then what are we?

You know,

What,

What are we if we aren't being our truest self?

And that's the stuff that's deep,

Deep down,

You know,

What is,

That's what I'm talking about.

Like not being scared to,

Not being scared to say what we really think in a loving way for fear of looking stupid,

You know?

So that leads me then to,

We are made of the divine.

We are the universe.

We are spirit.

God is within us.

God spirit universe,

Whatever you choose to call it,

Within us.

And I know that that might actually be a little bit controversial,

But we're made of the divine.

So today,

Now that I've really gone off,

Right?

So today we are going to meditate on the divine that is within us.

Doesn't that sound,

I don't know,

I love the way that that sounds to me.

Meditating on the divine that is within us.

I love that.

Okay.

So let's get ourselves comfortable and I'm sitting cross-legged today.

Yes I am.

Okay.

So close your eyes whenever you feel right,

Whenever it feels comfortable.

Let's take a nice deep breath in,

Long and slow.

And release.

Love that first deep breath of the day.

It's perfect.

It's like it wakes up your body.

So our mantra for today is this,

Aham brahmasmi.

And if you're familiar with David G,

You know this is one of his favorites.

Aham brahmasmi,

I am the universe or I am the divine.

I don't know about you,

But that just,

It just invigorates my heart.

It invigorates my heart because when you think in terms of that,

We are all made up of the divine.

It just makes you feel a little bit more connected with the world,

More compassionate with the world.

Love that.

So before we sit in the stillness though,

Let's consider a few things that bring us joy.

What brings you joy in your life?

It could be anything from the neighbor's puppy or it could be just that walk in the woods.

Or it could be hearing a child's laughter.

So as we get,

And we sit in the stillness for just a few minutes with our mantra,

Aham brahmasmi,

Know that when we consider that we are all made up of the divine,

All is well.

So,

If you forget the mantra,

That's absolutely okay.

You can always go back and concentrate on your breath.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

Aham brahmasmi.

I am the divine.

And bringing our awareness back to our bodies,

The chair we're sitting in.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Namaste.
