Hello,
My name is Lindsay and I am the founder of The Lab Wellness.
I'm so glad that you could join me today for this meditation.
It is something that is definitely near and dear to my heart and something that I think many of us face at some point in our lives.
And what I'm talking about is imposter syndrome.
Now,
For me,
This has come up many times in my career.
I get promoted to a job that I'm not sure I'm ready for.
I get poached for a position at a company that feels bigger than I'm used to.
And I start a new career and I say,
Who am I to do this?
Who am I to change my stars?
But the truth is,
We have a limitless life.
We have the opportunity to change our stars and to change our minds every second of every day.
And we can be in control of the outcome every step of that way.
But it's not always easy when we're in the moment.
So taking time to connect with these decisions,
Taking time to reaffirm our confidence and just really solidify who we are is important.
And that is what we're going to do today.
So I would love for you to find yourself in a comfortable position.
You can do this lying down.
You can do this sitting in a chair propped up against something,
Whatever's comfortable for you.
Now I'd like you to take a deep breath in and out through your mouth.
And let's do that one more time.
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale through your mouth,
Close your eyes.
Now continue breathing naturally.
Just notice your breath.
Notice the rise and fall in your chest.
Start to relax your shoulders.
Soften the belly.
Release any tension that you may be holding in your jaw,
Around your eyebrows,
And really start to ground yourself in comfort.
As you continue to breathe,
Ask yourself,
Who am I now?
Take a moment to think on that.
Where are you in this moment?
Now start to bring forth those pesky little negative thoughts and think about which of those negative thoughts you can let go of.
Answer,
What parts of me can I release that are no longer serving me?
What negative thoughts can I release right now?
And as you say goodbye to those thoughts that are no longer serving you,
Let's take a moment to thank them for showing you where you need to go.
They did serve a purpose.
They showed you what you don't need right now.
So you can take steps forward.
Now you can let them go.
Breathe into that.
Now ask yourself,
Who do I want to be?
Who do I want to be?
And know that you can create any life you desire.
So take this time to visualize who you want to be,
How you want to show up for yourself.
You have the power to choose your path.
Visualize yourself there now.
What does that look like to you?
Now that you can see who you want to be and where you want to go,
Start to think about how you're going to live in this new light.
Ask yourself,
What small step will I make today to live in that best version of myself?
How can I start creating this life right now?
This doesn't have to be something giant and huge leap,
But what small step can you make today for you to live in that life you're dreaming,
Knowing that you are capable of making anything happen.
Anytime the negative thoughts or the self doubt creeps up,
Come back to this moment.
Come back to your breath,
Release the negativity.
And remember,
You are already this person.
Trust that you can create the life that you want to live.
You already are that person.
Breathe into that.
Take a deep breath.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take a moment to thank the universe for showing you today exactly where you need to go and the small step you can start right now to get you on your way.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Start to bring yourself back into the room.
Start to move your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Start to bring awareness into the room.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and live the life you're dreaming of.
