Hey there,
My name is Lisa and welcome to your rising above chaos meditation.
When I meditate on the idea of chaos,
I think of the goddess Eris.
In Greek mythology,
She was responsible for sowing discord in the Trojan War.
She was not invited to a wedding,
And in retaliation for not being let in,
Though she showed up anyway,
She threw a golden apple labeled to the fairest amongst the goddesses.
This of course had Aphrodite,
Athena,
And Hera fight over the apple and therefore go to Paris,
Offering him all these things that eventually led to a war of strife and discord.
These are the things as humans that we don't like.
But there are individuals out there that that's all they know.
All they know is that energy.
It's important to recognize that chaos sometimes is a part of life,
And the only way we can sometimes rise above or work with the energy is asking ourselves how much do we value our peace.
But our practice for this meditation is learning and building the strength and manifesting a sense of groundedness to choose harmony.
To choose.
To not take the golden apple,
Let it roll on by.
So with that,
Let us go ahead and come to a comfortable position,
Whatever that is for us today,
Get cozy.
Take a nice big,
Deep inhale into your body,
And exhale,
Let go.
We'll play around with the pranayama breath of dirgha shvasam,
Imagining our belly or chest is like a cup of water,
And as we inhale,
We breathe on into the belly,
Filling our belly up with air,
Eventually feeling the ribcage expand as well as the collarbones with air,
And exhale,
Let it go.
And I want you to bring into view,
As challenging and as painful as it is,
I want you to invite the vision of anything that you find to be chaotic,
Unnecessary,
Discord-like.
Observe your feelings around this energy and where there may be tension within the body.
Recognize that these spaces where you feel the tension,
The reaction,
The physical holding within the body,
There is your golden apple.
And I want you to breathe into this space where there is holding,
Where there is tension.
Inhale into it,
And exhale,
Let it go.
And repeat the affirmation,
This is not mine.
This is not mine.
Breathe into it,
And exhale,
Let go,
Soften in this area.
This is not your chaos.
Maybe it's not feeling like you're enough or needing to prove something,
Like our beautiful three goddesses,
But keep recognizing that this is not yours.
The only emotion we can invite into our lives,
Or that we wish to claim,
Is harmony.
And I invite you to breathe in the energy of peace and harmony.
What does peace look and feel like to us?
How does it feel in the body?
Can you visualize a time where you felt everything was in alignment and in harmony?
And let the body melt into that energy.
Visualizing yourself valuing this peace,
Taking it in,
Breathing it in.
Exhaling,
Letting the rest go,
Banishing the rest,
Where it is not yours.
Visualizing yourself rising above all in any discord,
As you melt deeper into peace,
Into harmony.
From this beautiful space,
I invite you to set the intention for yourself,
Whatever that is,
That helps you stay within the energy of harmonia,
Of harmony,
With that intention in the mind.
Deepen your breath,
Bring that energy of peace into the world around you as you release any tension that no longer serves you.
I thank you so much for joining me today and for this meditation,
And I wish you so much peace and so many blessings.
Namaste my friend.
