As Liz continues her pilgrimage, tracing the Michael and Mary energy currents across England, she feels a deep sense of privilege simply in being able to walk. With each step, her mind begins to clear, thoughts gently untangling. Today, she notices a quiet shift within—walking has become a form of meditation. The journey is no longer just a physical path but a way of grounding herself, allowing her to settle more deeply into presence and clarity.

Hello and welcome to Five Minutes in Nature with me,

Liz Scott,

As I continue my pilgrimage across England following the energy currents of the Michael and Mary line.

I've been following the Mary current today and I'm in a community at the moment called Sanford which is close to the end point of where I'll be walking.

I started out earlier today and I've seen a variety of different places and it's funny when I come to the end of the day and I reflect back there's so many sort of the merging of memories is quite astounding really.

Here in the warmth of the sun I just want to note that I can see a little small herd of deer ahead of me.

I startled them earlier as I was on a footpath and they ran away and I was concerned because they were running towards a road and it's obviously they've crossed that road and they're now running onwards so I'm just pleased to see that they're safe.

But it's when you walk like I walk day after day it just kind of merges into one so there are some things that really stand out for me today for example visiting Cloth Hall where the church dedicated to Saint Mary was just such a beautiful beautiful building and I went inside and felt this real resonance inside it.

The book I follow the author doused both the Mary and Michael lines wrote that Mary line went right through the centre of the church through the font all the way down to the altar and I stood in the energy line of the Mary current and just felt that lovely wash of nourishment that I imagine is the current running through me.

And the last place I've visited at Wallington again dedicated to Saint Mary's was a church that also had some interesting information.

It was information that the author George Orwell um also known as Eric Blair or he was known as Eric Blair but his pen name was George Orwell.

He wrote quite a famous few books he was around during the Spanish Civil War,

The Second World War,

He wrote things 1984 is one of his best known books,

Animal Farm is also a really well-known book and he wrote often about a dystopian future,

A future or an ideas around ideals that start out and then disintegrate into power play which is certainly what Animal Farm was about and the church there just recognised that he'd been married in that church,

He'd rented a cottage in the village,

He'd written when he came to this cottage in the village and just recognised that he had been based for some time and influenced by the village and the feel of the village and had been inspired to write in that place.

On the pilgrimage I visit these places I experience the energy or not sometimes I don't even know if I'm experiencing anything but I love this following this trail that for me is what this is about really it's following a trail and it looks like I'm following a trail of the Mary energy current or the Michael energy current but the truth is I'm following an inner trail.

As my mind settles I find myself in almost a meditative way walking I'm not really thinking about much I might have a curious question that I ask myself but then I don't really try and work out the answer and it really does something for me this nourishing way of being and walking helps facilitate that in my life where I'm not endlessly using my intellect to work things out.

I'm very fortunate that my husband is with me on the trip working out logistics he's going to pick me up in a minute he's done the shopping he'll cook some food tonight he often does the washing up and he just allows me to walk and then process this walk and I haven't really had to use my intellectual left brain at all and I feel very blessed it's almost like I've had a holiday from it and so I think my reflection today is just a reflection on the gifts I've been given on this walk to switch off just to allow myself to be in the moment of the walking in the rhythm of the walking and to be present to whatever it is that needs to be seen or heard or experienced and just to be open to that today is just a reflection that this pilgrimage really is a gift

Thankyou Liz 🙏🏼 You have given yourself a wonderful gift doing your pilgrimage and it sounds like you are in a peaceful space with a supportive husband and your busy part of the brain turned off. I like the thought of a ‘ holiday from our left brain’ and love the sound of bird song 🎶 Which is the best map online to see the places you are walking through. 🌿🦜🎶🌿
