Over the next couple of minutes,

We're going to connect the mind to the body.

Quite often we are taught that they work against each other.

My mind is running a thousand miles per hour and I cannot shut off any of the tabs.

It's driving me crazy.

But my body wants to go to sleep or my body feels super restless and it has all this energy and it wants to move.

I can't get a thought out.

I don't even know what I'm doing in this room.

That's the story for so many of us.

Life is happening so fast and we have so many responsibilities and obligations.

We start to feel a disconnect within our own temple.

We start to witness disharmony between our mind and our body and then that starts to spiral and feel very uncomfortable.

But right now we're going to reconnect.

We're going to realign.

We're going to lean in and trust the wisdom in our body and give our mind a break,

A moment to rest.

Together let's take a deep inhale,

Filling in the lower belly,

Extending that breath to the lower back,

Allowing the air to travel up into the heart.

And when it feels good,

Open mouth,

Let go.

Let go.

Really sink into your seat a bit more.

Notice the base of your spine anchoring,

Becoming rooted into the earth.

As you allow another deep inhale,

Filling in the lower belly,

Expanding to the lower back,

Letting it travel up into the heart,

Maybe even filling up the heart space this time.

And when it feels good,

Letting go.

Tuning in to your inner world as we lovingly tune out the outer.

And I want you to continue having that beautiful pattern of breath,

Breathing in slowly,

Feeling the air flood the nostrils.

And as you let go,

Let go through the mouth,

Feeling the shoulders soften a bit more.

Maybe you notice as you continue with your deep inhales and your slow exhales that your face starts to soften.

You feel your brows relax,

Your temples,

Your cheeks,

Maybe even your earlobes feel like they're dropping a bit more.

I want you to envision like bringing your mind into the body.

With that next inhale,

We breathe in almost like we're pulling the mind in on that exhale.

As we let go,

We're settling in the body.

We're remembering that we are not just our mind and what we decide to create and make up and what we've witnessed.

We are also this body.

Our body is the only thing that tethers us to this world that we live in.

How often do we take a moment to sit and acknowledge it,

To check in and see how it's doing?

Another deep inhale,

Breathing in and exhale,

Letting go.

Notice if there's any aches,

Any pains,

Any discomfort in your body.

Just notice where they are.

We're not judging ourselves.

We're not saying,

Oh my gosh,

My lower back hurts again.

We're just saying,

Oh I notice there's some discomfort there.

I'm bearing witness to my body.

And then that next inhale,

I want you to breathe into that space of discomfort,

Almost like you're pulling out the pain,

Pulling out the discomfort with that inhale.

On that exhale,

Breathe out into that space,

Clearing it of any discomfort,

Any pain,

Any uneasiness you may have been carrying.

And I want you to continue that with that intention,

With your breath,

Breathing in,

Pulling up the discomfort,

And exhale,

Pushing it away,

Making space for softness.

Another deep inhale,

Breathing it all in,

Pulling it up,

And exhale,

H-A,

Letting it go,

Allowing the body to feel rested.

And this might mean softening the shoulders a bit more,

Maybe even rolling the shoulders back and opening up the heart space.

Maybe you can begin giving space between each vertebrae in your spine,

Elongating yourself,

Taking up space as you may want to.

Spread your arms,

Stretch out your fingertips.

Remember how beautiful this body can be,

How it does so many wonderful things,

Even when you're not thinking of it.

Your body's there to help you.

It's there to carry out those creations that you dream up,

To get you to the spaces where you can provide deep impact.

Your body is always there for you.

Another deep inhale,

Breathing in,

H-A,

Letting go.

In this moment,

I encourage you to give yourself a hug.

Wrap your hands around yourself.

Maybe you want to squeeze a little bit,

Maybe you notice that you're rocking from left to right or right to left.

And as you are hugging yourself,

You are loving yourself.

This is literally the physical practice of self-love,

Self-care.

When's the last time you've hugged yourself?

When's the last time you gave yourself a pat on the back,

Just for existing,

Not because you produced or created anything,

Simply because you are who you are.

And in this space,

I want you to repeat these affirmations.

Speak this over yourself and over this experience.

I am safe.

I am safe within my mind.

I am safe within my body.

I am safe within my creativity.

I am safe within my passion.

And I am open to this experience.

I am open to aha moments and revelations.

I am willing to explore any discomfort that comes up.

I am willing to explore any past beliefs that may make me feel stagnant,

Feel like I'm not moving forward.

Because I am capable of embracing and transforming any experience,

Any belief into something that empowers me,

That inspires me,

And that guides me.

I am open and I am willing to connect back to my creativity.

I am open and I am willing to lean into gratitude,

To really relish it,

Relish in it.

I am open and willing to resonate in my body,

To recover in my body.

When it feels good for you,

I want you to drop your hands back into your lap.

Maybe bring a smile to your face as we take one more collective inhale together.

Breathing into the lower belly,

Extending that breath to the lower back,

Filling up the heart space with that third powerful breath.

And when you feel ready,

Let go slowly and deliberately,

Coming back home to center,

To your creativity.

And take this moment to just witness how your body feels now.

Is the discomfort still there?

What do you notice about your body and your mind now?

And we're going to come out of this meditation,

I'm going to count back from five to one.

When we get to one,

You're going to be in a space where you feel refreshed and focused and ready to dive into what's next.

Five.

Maybe you want to wiggle your fingertips,

Stretch them out,

Maybe open and close the palms of your hands.

Four.

Maybe you want to wiggle your toes,

Rotate your ankles from left to right,

Right to left.

Three.

I invite you to move your neck left to right,

Right to left,

Maybe even up,

Letting the chin face the sky and opening up in front of our throat.

And maybe even tilting it down and opening up the back of our neck.

Two.

Bringing a smile to your face,

Feeling satisfaction for what you've just done in this meditation.

Then one.

Gently opening the eyes or refocusing and coming back to the space.

Let me know how you're feeling in the comment section.

And thank you so much for letting me hold space for you for this meditation.
