Hello friends.

It has been days since I wanted to upload an audio,

But I was thinking about how to address the issue of the pandemic that we're experiencing right now with the coronavirus.

My purpose is not to tell you what to do related to precautions,

Like washing your hands and staying at home.

I am sure you already know that.

There are many sources to keep you informed of what you have to do.

And honestly,

I am not qualified to tell you that.

I don't have any medical study,

Nor am I a scientist or anything like that.

So,

I will focus on the only thing I can do for you.

And first,

I want to start with an analogy.

If I told you that you have an 80% chance that in the next six months you will win the lottery,

How would that make you feel?

I think that many of us would practically assume it's a 100% chance.

And we will be buying tickets and trusting that we're going to win it.

Why?

Because the odds are in our favor,

Right?

Well,

I will pivot the subject with that example.

The pandemic is definitely something very serious that we are experiencing.

And I must confess that it was hard for me to fully grasp the severity.

Because at first I did not see that something so big.

And definitely it is.

But there's a hidden problem in this assessment.

We run the risk of focusing more on the negative,

On that 15% instead of the 85 for the population that has a higher risk of course.

And by doing so,

We are lowering our quality of life,

Generating hysteria and infecting people with something that could be worse.

Panic and selfishness.

We cannot change what already happened.

And I am very interested in sharing my point of view.

In reality,

The number of people who will unfortunately suffer will be significant.

I will not deny that.

But the probability that any of you who are listening to this audio will experience that is quite low.

And it is useless to worry.

In fact,

One of the causes that can increase the odds against you is stress.

Since it weakens your immune system.

So if you are already in quarantine or going out as little as possible,

If you are following the recommendations of hygiene from doctors,

The only thing you can do is use your time in the most productive way.

Do not worry.

It is very likely that a high percentage of the population will get infected.

But many will not even have symptoms.

And even fewer people will require medical attention.

So friends,

I want to ask you again to remain calm.

In contrast,

And for example,

The probability that you will have a serious car accident is way higher than suffering a life threatening consequences because of the pandemic.

And yet,

Almost no one takes the wheel,

Worried if he or she will reach the destination unharmed.

And there is no point at the moment in dwelling into statistics,

Looking for an accurate real time odds.

At least,

That's not my role.

This week,

I read from Abraham Hicks that while we have limited actions.

Our thoughts have no barriers.

Many of you,

As I am,

Are definitely confined at home.

But we do have control over our thoughts.

And they are going to make a difference.

We are already getting news of reduction of cases in some part of the world.

And that definitely gives hope.

From the bottom of my heart,

I hope that no one in your family suffers from this virus.

You could take advantage of this time to strengthen your family ties.

Your relationships with friends,

Obviously,

Most of them virtually.

Because you will not be able to see most of the people who are part of your life.

But especially for families,

This is an opportunity to mend past frictions.

I know that life for couples has its ups and downs.

And don't get me started on parents and children.

Many of us did not have many things to distract us in our childhoods,

Like the internet.

However,

We found ways to entertain ourselves.

Now,

With much more options in the world,

It should be an easier task.

Something that I dwell on is precisely the abundance of information there is.

Not all will be objective.

And I recommend you to choose few media sources to avoid information of doubtful origin.

Or that has been interpreted very subjectively.

As well as recommendations for avoiding getting sick that have no reliable sources.

Many people will create memes about the subject.

And if those types of images offend you,

Don't look at them.

But keep in mind that one of the ways in which humans cope with fear is humor.

So don't take them as a lack of sensitivity.

Give yourself permission to laugh if you feel that way.

You're not doing anything wrong.

In fact,

I remember that in Mexico,

The Day of the Dead is celebrated two days after Halloween.

And it is common to make poems dedicated to living and dead people.

They are called calaveritas,

Which literally translates to tiny skulls.

And they usually have a bit of humor.

I assure you that Mexicans are not offended by that.

It is something cultural.

And I recommend that you see those memes in that way.

Well,

I hope this audio will help you and that you and all your loved ones are and remain well.

I invite you to follow me on this application so you know when I have more audios for you.

Receive many blessings,

And I will talk to you soon.

Bye.

I think it passed a lot of time since you recorded this audio. You know, things turn out to be more, but more serious in time. My husband passed, he did not passed from COVID, but was a collateral victim of the sickness. No doctors, no nurses, and very scarce hospital services. By the way, I lost friends to COVID, here and in the USA. Today you said you had no gratitude for the pandemic. It certainly is a tragedy in many ways, and I personally suffered, more than you. But, I am grateful, it was a huge lesson in many forms, for the nature, for the behaviour of human beings, and for remembering that G-d is here, watching how foolish we are in the use of our free will. I lost the love of my life, but I survived and managed to move on thanks to positive things and thinking, and also for being grateful.
