The Pavamāna Abhyāroha a prayer from the Briharanyaka Upanishad that asks for clarity and alignment with the pure radiance of the inner being. We begin by connecting to the body, and then we explore the essence of this prayer: Asatoma Sadgamaya, Tamasoma Jyotir Gamaya, Mrityor Ma Amritam Gamaya. Lead us from the unreal to the real, from darkness to light, and from death to immortality.

Let's begin by allowing the breath to settle us into our bodies.

If you breathe through your nose,

You can feel it swirl in through the nostrils.

It creates little eddies,

Little swirls in the sinuses in the front of your face.

Then it pours down over the soft palate and down the back of your throat,

Collecting in the lungs surrounding your heart and then releasing and swirling its way back out.

See if you can feel the spiraling,

Whirling energy of the breath making its way in and out.

Okay?

.

.

And of course that's the macro,

That every cell is breathing.

Every cell wrapped in its double membrane is accepting,

Drawing in and releasing life force energy nourishment.

So as you breathe in the air on the macro level,

Every single cell in every part of your body is also breathing in.

And as you breathe out the air,

Every cell is releasing.

Your body is like a giant sponge,

Soaking in life and letting go.

.

.

In the center of your heart,

Which is the nexus of this pulsing,

Breathing body,

There's a glimmering jewel of radiant awareness that sees all,

Takes everything in.

It doesn't analyze,

Doesn't dissect,

Doesn't judge,

It just sees everything.

It sees that which is aligned with its pure radiance and it sees that which is not,

That which is a fragment pretending to be the whole.

It senses this,

Doesn't think about it,

Just feels it.

.

.

.

When we touch that clear,

Pure,

Radiant awareness,

We align with it.

The fragments pretending to be wholes fall away.

The false desires lose their stick and we just rest in the simple truth of being.

No distracting music or voice affectation with a good visual practice. A simply effective approach.
