Most of us grew up not learning how to feel our emotions. Maybe you grew up being ignored when you had This meditation is a gentle invitation to open up your heart and truly embrace your emotions. When we let our emotions flow, we prevent them from becoming stuck, which can lead to physical, emotional, mental, or even spiritual blockages. Join me in this heart-opening practice to explore and process your feelings more deeply.

Most of us grew up not learning how to feel our emotions.

Maybe you grew up being ignored when you had emotions.

Some of us were shamed,

Yelled at,

Or even hit.

Regardless of how you were raised,

And even if you were one of the lucky ones that had a family that met and helped you to process your emotions,

We can always have a larger capacity to feel more.

Our goal with feeling emotions is to,

More importantly,

Get them to process through us.

To feel them is to process them.

We want to process or move them through our being,

Otherwise they get stuck and can cause physical,

Emotional,

Mental,

Or even spiritual blockages.

Here we go.

Find a comfortable position and settle in.

Using your breath,

Begin to slow your body down by taking some nice,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Letting everything go,

Feeling yourself relax.

Drop your awareness to your heart center,

In the center of your chest.

Here you have an energy center for the heart.

This is the center where you feel and process emotions.

Take a deep breath.

Imagine this energy center in the middle of your chest as a rose or any other beautiful flower.

Gaze at this beautiful flower in your chest.

Look at the rich color,

The delicateness,

And the strength of this flower.

When this flower opens,

It allows emotions to pass through,

And it closes when it's had enough.

Sometimes these flower centers are closed or they do not open very much,

Due to an old hurt or wound or even trauma.

Our egos decide that it's best to keep this part of us closed for fear of getting more hurt.

What the ego does not know is that this old energy of hurt and wounds are anchoring us down in our heart because it's so closed.

We do not want to feel more hurt,

But by not opening our flower,

Our heart center,

Fully,

We're keeping our old wounds trapped in the heart.

When we open our heart center,

This beautiful flower,

We opened and free old energy,

Old wounding to pass through and process so we can let new loving energy enter.

The goal is to feel and allow through all energy,

All emotions.

We want the energy to flow through us and not get stuck.

Instead of closing our heart center,

We learn to have boundaries as our protection.

We speak up for ourselves and learn new empowered ways to take care of ourselves.

We remember at our deepest levels that our heart,

When closed,

Ultimately hurts us.

It blocks us.

It prevents us from letting the good in.

Closing and blocking the heart center creates dis-ease in the body.

The body is a very slow moving energy field that appears solid and dense,

But it's actually fluid.

Emotions are part of our human right and are meant to flow through us.

Now,

Focus again on your heart,

Your beautiful heart center,

This flower in the center of your chest.

Imagine the most beautiful green color you've ever seen.

Fill up this space.

All the flower,

Your whole heart is now green.

Breathe in this beautiful green color.

Feel this beautiful heart energy of green filling up not just your heart center,

But your whole body.

Feel it expand now through your whole being.

Even expand it outside of your physical body into your energy field.

See yourself as the most beautiful green light.

Keep breathing.

Now,

Very gently,

Begin to move your body back and forth,

Forward and back,

Rocking your body from your hips,

Moving your chest and your shoulders back and forth very gently.

Find a rocking motion that feels right for you.

You're just moving the upper half of your body forward and backwards.

As you rock forward,

Begin to pull your shoulders back and push your heart center forward very gently.

Every time you move your chest forward,

Pull your shoulders back,

Exposing your heart,

Feeling your chest muscles expand and pull as you move back and forth,

Gently rocking.

Every time you move forward,

Your shoulders come back and push your heart out forward,

Stretching and exposing your heart.

Keep pulling your shoulders back and forth,

Back and forth as much as you can.

This is helping old,

Stuck energy and wounding and emotions to flush through your heart center.

Keep rocking and pulling those shoulders back.

Open your heart,

Free and release this old energy.

Now stop rocking,

Settle into your heart space again and place your hand on your heart.

Repeat these statements out loud.

It is safe for me to feel my emotions.

I am ready to feel my emotions.

I give myself permission to feel.

When I am scared to feel,

I will remember that I am learning boundaries to protect myself.

My heart is sacred.

I will protect it from those that are unkind.

I commit to processing my emotions.

I allow all emotions to process through me.

I am grateful for my emotions.

I allow my emotions to guide me.

I welcome my emotions.

I am open to whatever emotions come up.

I am safe.

Take a deep breath.

Remove your hand and sense the beautiful flower on your chest.

This again represents your heart center.

Give it permission to open.

Let it know that you will protect it and that you are grateful for it.

Tune in to the center.

What do you sense in your heart space?

Invite it to open even more.

What does your heart want you to know?

Does it have a message for you?

Maybe it does,

Maybe it does not.

But tune in and connect to it.

What does your body feel like with your heart open?

Tune in now to your body.

Remember to be easy with yourself.

This is a process.

Continue to practice connecting to your heart.

Filling yourself up with the beautiful green color.

This will help with the healing and opening of your heart center.

All is well.

You are love.

Nothing but love.

Your heart is so grateful for the work you did with it today.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.

If you feel moved to do so,

Journal your experience.
