Welcome to your shamanic journey to rediscover your truth.
Start by finding a comfortable seat or lay down and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and as you exhale settle into the space.
Slowly let the outer world soften and fall away.
There's nowhere else to be,
Nothing to get right.
There's just this and just now.
Begin by noticing the ground beneath you and how it holds you without question.
Feel your body resting into it and let gravity take over.
There's nothing you need to do so just let your breath come and go like waves in and out of shore.
No need to change the rhythm,
Just stay with the movement.
Feel how breath meets body,
How body meets earth and let your awareness drop into your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips and your legs.
Slow everything down,
Even your thoughts,
Especially your thoughts and if the mind keeps chattering let it,
Let the noise hum in the background and you don't need to fix it.
There's a deeper part of you listening right now,
The part that doesn't speak in words.
Now begin to sense a threshold somewhere within,
Maybe it's behind the heart or low in your belly or just beyond the breath.
It might be a door,
A gate,
A hollow in the dark.
You didn't make it,
It's always been there.
Now slowly start to approach it and feel what it's made of,
Wood,
Stone,
Air,
Maybe memory.
Now let it open or dissolve and cross the threshold.
Step into another world,
The inner one and let it shape itself around you.
Maybe it begins in a forest or under the sea or in the bones of a mountain.
There's no right place,
Only the place that comes so let it come.
Now walk through this world slowly,
Notice the feel of the ground,
The air,
The light.
You may not be alone here,
There may be eyes in the trees,
Whispers in the leaves and something older than words moving through the space.
Keep walking,
Keep exploring.
Now you may slowly come to a point where the path forks or ends or maybe sinks.
There's a descent,
A cave or a root tunnel or a crack between stones.
This is where you go in.
Let yourself be pulled down,
Down through gravity,
Through memory,
Down through instinct,
Down through the layers that came before thought.
There's no fear here,
Only remembering.
So let the world shift around you as you go.
Maybe it's darker now,
Maybe warmer,
The air thick with silence.
You arrive in a new place and it might feel dreamlike or too real.
Let it show itself and don't force it.
Let it arrive in color,
In scent,
In feeling.
Here in this place,
Someone may appear,
A presence,
An animal,
A figure,
A part of you you've forgotten and there's no need to ask who they are.
Just let them be and feel how your body reacts.
What do they awaken?
Now gently ask,
What do you know that I've forgotten?
And then listen.
Not with your ears but with your whole being and let the answer come in its own time in images,
Sounds,
Symbols,
Sensations and just let it land.
If they wish to show you something,
Then follow.
If they simply stay beside you,
Stay.
Now ask the second question.
What part of me have I left behind?
And see what rises,
A memory,
A feeling,
A face,
Or maybe nothing.
Trust that even the silence is speaking and this is not about fixing or decoding but it's about being with what's true.
Allow space for a moment longer and let the scene deepen,
Let it leave its imprint.
And if you're given a gift,
An object,
A word,
A look,
Receive it with both hands and let it go.
You may not know what it means now but you will in time.
When you feel ready,
Then offer your thanks.
Not out of habit but from a place of quiet knowing.
Now begin the return.
Trace your steps back through the deep.
Back through stone and soil and root.
Back to the path,
To the air,
To your breath.
Let the journey dissolve gently like mist in the sun.
Feel your body again.
Your spine.
Your chest.
Your hands.
And your breath moving in your ribs.
Start wiggling your fingers maybe and let your awareness rest behind your eyes while you let the stillness settle.
You don't need to name what just happened if anything,
Just carry it softly.
And when you are ready,
Then open your eyes.
The world will be here just as it was but maybe something in you has shifted.
If so,
Then stay close to that.
Don't rush.
Maybe write.
Maybe walk.
Maybe nothing.
Just be with the echo.
