Welcome and good morning.
My name is Monika and I'm so glad you're here joining me for this chanting circle.
You don't need much for this session,
Just your voice,
Your breath and an open heart.
If you'd like,
You can also have a mala to count the chants,
But that's simply optional.
Please take a seat that feels both comfortable and alert,
Grounded yet soft.
Let's arrive.
Close your eyes,
Feel the ground beneath you,
Let your spine gently rise and bring awareness to your breath.
Let's breathe together,
Three gentle breaths,
Inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose,
Inhaling and exhaling.
One more deep inhale and a long exhale.
Today we will chant the mantra Vam 108 times.
Vam is the Bija,
The seed mantra of the sacral chakra,
Also known as swadhisthana.
It is located in the lower abdomen,
Just below the navel.
This energy center is connected to fluidity,
Creativity,
Pleasure,
Sensuality and emotional flow.
And when we chant Vam,
We invite balance,
Openness and the ability to feel and move with life.
The mantra can help release emotional blockages,
Reconnect us with joy and enhance our inner flow.
We will chant it 108 times,
A sacred number that symbolizes wholeness and rhythm.
And there is no right or wrong way to join.
You can chant aloud,
Hum softly or simply listen and feel.
You may wish to gently bring your awareness to the area below your navel,
The seat of swadhisthana.
And let the sound vibrate through your inner waters,
Awakening your emotional wisdom and creative flow.
Let's begin by chanting three slow Vam together to find our shared rhythm.
Short V,
Long open A,
And a soft short M.
So let's inhale deeply.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And now we begin at the 108 repetitions.
I'll be chanting with you and counting with my mala.
Let the sound move gently through your body.
Feel the vibrations in your lower abdomen,
Your hips,
Your pelvis.
Bring your awareness to the space of emotional flow and creative power.
And allow the mantra to move through you like water,
Softening,
Clearing and connecting.
So let's start inhaling for Vam.
Let the sound dissolve into the stillness.
Feel the space it opened within you.
Notice any sensations in the belly,
Pelvis or hips.
Notice how your emotions feel in this moment.
Without judgment,
Just breathe and allow.
If you like,
Place your hands on your lower belly.
Feel the warmth,
The breath,
The space within.
Gently begin to deepen your breath.
Move your body gently and let yourself return slowly.
Thank yourself for being present,
For chanting,
For flowing with what is.
And let's close with one final Vam as a blessing for the day ahead.
Deep inhale.
Namaste and thank you so much for joining this practice.
If you'd like to continue chanting with me,
Feel free to follow and return for the next chanting circle.
We will be chanting the Bija Mantra,
Ram,
For the Manipura Chakra.
I hope that you will join again because your presence brings this circle to life.
Have a wonderful day or night,
Wherever you are in the world.
Namaste.
