Good day.
Take a moment to position yourself in a posture that aligns with your needs.
Take a deep breath in and consider how you would like to maneuver your body to find a shape that speaks to your physical needs.
Maybe that is sitting up with your neck resting on a chair behind you.
Maybe that is flat on your back with palms open and shining up towards the ceiling.
Take a deep inhale through your mouth.
Feel your heart and belly rise and slowly exhale to make final adjustments to the pose in which you find yourself.
For today,
Our focus will be to heal and respond to symptoms of anxiety,
Fear,
And worry.
We all have these powerful signals,
But it is our duty to carefully decide how to respond to them.
Deep breath in,
Slow and controlled exhale out of your mouth.
Take a moment to tap into your body if that feels safe for you and take note of what you are experiencing,
Feeling,
And noticing.
Is there a tightness in your face?
Maybe release your jaw and swallow a few times to promote relief.
Is there a pain in your lower back?
Breathe into this space and adjust your body to take care of this area.
Maybe there is tension in your neck.
You could decide to rock your neck side to side to lubricate and relax the muscles.
Be in your body.
Respond with love to your body.
Respond with care and compassion.
Deep breath in,
Slow controlled exhale out.
Embody a posture of care,
Compassion,
Acceptance,
And love towards the body that is doing its best to care for you.
Turn your attention to the reading of scripture.
Whether or not you are a follower of the Christian faith,
Consider how these truths could speak into your present experience of yourself and of the world.
Psalm 23,
4.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
They comfort me.
Deep breath in,
Slow exhale out.
1 John 4,
18.
There is no fear in love,
But perfect love drives out fear,
Because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Deep breath in,
Slow controlled exhale out.
Isaiah 41,
10.
So do not fear,
For I am with you.
Do not be dismayed,
For I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Deep breath in,
Slow exhale out.
1 Timothy 1,
7.
For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid,
But gives us power and self-discipline.
Deep breath in,
Slow exhale out.
This is the word of God.
This is my confidence in your ability to choose healing.
You are the only person who can carry out the purpose and calling placed on your life.
All you have to do is be present and listen for these callings.
Anxiety and fear can be subconscious responses to threat,
To protect you,
But take time to consider what anxiety is persisting from past hurt and what is the truth about right now.
You have the skills,
The tools,
And the support to walk forward.
Breathe,
Promote stillness and care for your body.
Listen to your body and be free.
