The ambition to invent an eternal engine can be considered the ultimate manifestation of perfectionism. In this talk, I'm exploring how to transcend the dissatisfaction of being faced with an impossible task and instead trust in the universe.

When I was little,

Maybe seven,

I was,

No kidding,

Interested in Perpetuum Mobile,

Which is the eternal engine.

And I have proof that I was designing plans how to invent an eternal engine when I was seven years old.

Now I have moved past that a long time ago and I am,

I consider myself more humanitarian than technically oriented person.

But this inventive spirit is still with me and is helping me a lot in my consulting work.

But what I want to reflect on today is that just now I want to really mark this somehow in my life.

Finally,

I cracked it.

That Perpetuum Mobile already exists in nature.

And I've never thought about this since more than 20 years ago.

And I know that this thought,

This feeling of dissatisfaction at being faced with an impossible problem,

It's been with me for a long time.

And not only because of this little thing,

Right?

This little and impossible and eternal thing of an eternal engine.

It comes up now and then,

This dissatisfaction of the human ego that cannot solve everything.

Human brain is limited.

But even the particular case of the Perpetuum Mobile,

This memory was appearing in me from time to time.

And finally,

I am free from it because I see that it exists in nature.

Renewable energy is based on such stuff,

Right?

And of course,

It's not eternal.

Like even the sun,

The flow of the river,

They are not eternal.

But in the wider scope of nature,

There is the force of gravity that I now consider to be the eternal engine.

Invisible,

Not contained in a shape of a machine element,

Of course.

But it exists.

And the only thing is that we humans cannot create Perpetuum Mobile,

Not because it's impossible,

But because we are not the creator.

And as one of my yoga teachers told me,

Not directly,

I'm only following,

But I took it very personally,

This message that ego thinks that it's its own creator,

Accredited to the yoga couple.

It's one of those guys that I learned yoga from.

They said it and it is so true,

I am reflecting now,

That indeed the great frustration of the problem of Perpetuum Mobile can be that we humans can never devise anything.

We can never devise anything as perfect and eternal as the force of gravity,

The force that moves along the whole creation.

And if we transcend resistance of our ego to accept this,

Then we find peace because I don't want to be a mad scientist,

Forever dissatisfied.

I want to be happy in my human nature,

Knowing that some power grander than I has already created the eternal engine for life.
