
Yoga Nidra For Divine Intuition
You hold within you a powerful source of divine intuition. A centre of deep knowing, that can always safely guide you along life's journey. Somewhere along the path of life, we all experience times that encourage us to distrust this intuitive centre. This can leave us ungrounded, uncertain, shaky and insecure about our choices. This yoga nidra has been created to help you tap back into your divine intuition. A deeply restful and healing practice that connects you with your third eye, Ajna, chakra. This yoga nidra will offer you the nervous system reset you need so that you can truly connect with the energy and the power that you hold in this space. Welcome.
Welcome to this yoga nidra practice for you to tap into your divine intuition.
So begin by settling yourself.
Find a really comfortable spot.
Lay somewhere in a quiet room where you know that you won't be disturbed.
Perhaps it's on your bed,
On a sofa,
Or on the floor.
And get really cozy.
Get so comfortable.
Any blankets,
Duvets,
Pillows,
Cushions that you need,
Any props and support.
So that you can truly let go.
You can get really comfy.
Create that cocoon of comfort and nestle your way in.
Once you get there,
Allow your eyes to close.
Feel how your body has begun the process of settling.
And as your body moves through this process of settling,
As it takes its time,
Begin to open your senses.
Cast your sense of hearing outwards.
Listen out.
What sounds do you hear further away?
And then move your sense of hearing closer.
What sounds do you hear closer to you?
Tune in to all of the sound vibrations that your sense of hearing picks up.
And without labelling them,
Just experience them.
And then move on to the next.
Flare your nostrils now.
And notice how you can take a deep breath in.
Notice the temperature,
The texture of the air as you breathe in through your nostrils.
And then notice the change in the temperature and the texture of the air as you breathe out through your nostrils.
Pick up any sense of smell that you can bring in.
Feel the weight of the clothes,
The weight of the duvet or blanket on top of you.
Notice the touch of fabric on your skin.
And then feel in to the touch of air gently passing over the skin that isn't clothed.
You feel in to the soft air waves that pass over.
You can tune in to the sense of warmth and coolness.
And as your body continues to settle deeper,
Continues to receive rest and support,
You begin to notice the movement of your breath.
Now it's possible for us to direct the breath and that's what we'll do here.
When you take your next inhale,
Breathe in and feel how your breath can travel down the length of your spine.
And breathe out,
Notice how the breath can travel up the length of the spine.
Now it's as if when you breathe in,
You're inhaling through the space between your eyebrows and the breath travels down the spine from there all the way to the root.
And then as you exhale,
It's as if the breath travels all the way up from the tailbone,
The root of your spine and now up through the crown of your head.
So follow this movement of your breath now.
Inhaling through the third eye,
Down the spine,
All the way to the root.
Exhaling up at the central column of your spine and out through the crown of your head.
Keep breathing in this way.
Gentle,
Steady,
Rhythmic breath.
And we follow the direction from the third eye,
The centre of wisdom,
The centre of intuition,
All the way down the central column to the very root of our being.
And then exhale all the way up from the root,
Through every energy point along our spine and up through the crown.
And let that exploration go.
Your breath returns to its normal pace,
Its normal rhythm.
Your body is deeply settled now,
Very comfortable.
And we're going to take your awareness through your body,
Simply so that you can send your awareness there,
Send your loving intention to this part of your body,
And you can experience how it releases,
How it lets go,
Simply by you taking your loving attention to that space.
We'll start with all ten toes.
Send your loving intention to all ten toes,
Feel into this space.
There's no need to move them,
Your awareness just goes there.
And perhaps you feel a tingling,
A vibration in all ten of your toes,
As they receive the message of your loving awareness.
And travel this awareness through the soles of your feet,
The balls of your feet,
The insteps,
The heels.
What sensations come up as your awareness goes through there?
Now the tops of both of your feet.
Send your loving awareness through the tops of both of your feet and land in both of your ankles.
How does it feel to rest your awareness,
Your loving intention,
At the space in both of your ankles?
Can you feel them soften?
Can you feel them receive your awareness?
Now up through your lower legs,
Your shins,
Your calves.
You can experience the boniness of your shins and the flesh of your calves,
As your awareness swims through your lower legs and into both of your knee joints,
Your kneecaps and the backs of your knee joints.
How does it feel when your body is deeply relaxed and your awareness is now drawn to the space at both of your kneecaps?
Up through both thighs,
The whole circumference of both of your thighs,
All the way through from the centre to the outer parts of all of your thighs.
And how does it feel now?
How does it feel to be your thighs as they rest here?
They receive the support of Mother Earth beneath them and they receive your loving intention.
And through the thighs into both hip sockets,
Your hip joints.
Nothing to do here,
Send your loving intention there and allow your awareness to soak up any sensation.
Can you feel softness pervade throughout?
And your awareness swims through the whole bowl of your pelvis now,
The pubic bones,
The tailbone,
Each of the sit bones on either side of your glutes,
The whole pelvic bowl,
The boniness and the organ contents within,
The energy that you hold within your pelvis.
And receive messages of comfort and ease from your pelvis and your hips here.
Up through your lower back now and your belly,
From your belly button all the way around to the sides of the waist,
All the way around the back to the lower spine.
This whole lower part of your torso now,
Swimming in your loving awareness.
And allow your awareness to dive deeper down into the organ contents that you hold within this space.
Feel into their liquid nature,
Their softness,
The gentle hum and vibration of you alive.
And up further now to the ribcage,
The side ribs,
The middle and upper back,
The front of the ribs,
Both sides of your chest,
All the way up to the collarbones,
The armpits,
Shoulder blades at the back,
The whole upper portion of your torso.
And your awareness dives even deeper to the organ contents that you hold within this part of you.
You feel that this is the source of your loving awareness.
This is where it originates from,
The energy that you hold at the centre of your chest.
How does it feel to send your loving awareness to this whole space in your body?
Up now through the shoulder joints,
The upper arms and the elbows,
Receiving sensations of comfort,
Of rest,
Of support,
Through your forearms and your wrists,
Into the palms of your hands,
The backs of your hands,
And each in turn of your thumbs,
Index fingers,
Middle fingers,
Ring fingers and little fingers.
The soft,
Gentle,
Vibrational hum of this body,
Receiving your loving intention,
Swimming and basking in the glow of your awareness.
From the tips of the fingers and the thumbs,
All the way back up the channels of your arms,
Into your neck and your throat.
Through the tops of the shoulders you find your throat and your neck.
And you feel space,
You feel openness,
Clarity.
Up into the jaw,
The chin,
Both lips,
Both rows of teeth and the whole tongue,
The inner cheeks and the outer cheeks and the cheekbones,
The tip of the nose,
Both nostrils,
The length of the nose,
All the way up to both eyes.
You feel the spaces around the eyes,
The eyebrows,
The temples,
Both ears,
The curves and the valleys,
The inner and the outer architecture of both of your ears,
The back of your skull,
The crown of your head,
Your loving intention and the light of your awareness moves from the crown of your head down to your forehead and it lands at the space between your eyebrows,
Your third eye.
Your space where you hold extra vision,
Where you see more than you realise.
Now tune into this space,
This space between your eyebrows.
Tune into your own divine wisdom that you hold,
This power of foresight.
And as you tune into this and you hold your awareness at this space between your eyebrows,
You feel this centre growing in charge,
Glowing a deep bright indigo colour.
And you know,
You know already that this is your deep inner knowledge,
Your space of knowing.
It's time now to remember your confidence in this part of your being.
It is time now to understand that this is your centre of wisdom that guides you,
That shows you the right path for you to take.
You have permission to trust this intuition,
You have permission to trust this intuition.
It knows more than your conscious mind realises and it's the perfect companion on your life's journey.
Feel the vibration here.
And as you feel the vibration here,
Notice what you see in your mind's eye.
Rest in this vibration,
Soak it all in.
Now you feel your awareness still resting in this place of your intuition,
At your third eye.
You begin to understand the true power that you hold here.
And you understand that you're able to allow this energy to move through all of you now.
This energy of wisdom,
Of intuition,
Of knowing.
It moves through the whole of your being,
Soaking every cell with your inner love,
Your intuition and your wisdom.
The whole of your being now.
You can trust the silent voice that urges you towards the higher path.
You can trust yourself.
You can trust yourself.
You can trust yourself.
And with the whole of your being soaking in this high vibration of love,
Intuition,
Trust and deep knowing,
You know that you can tread the path that you're meant to go.
And with this knowledge,
Now return to your body.
Return to the sensation of this body resting here.
From your toes,
Through your feet,
Up through your legs and into your hips.
Reconnecting with the solidity of this body from the belly,
Through the chest,
The shoulders,
The arms,
The hands and the fingers and thumbs,
The neck and the head,
The face.
You reconnect with the reality,
The earthly reality of this body.
And you bring with you this deep trust in your own intuition,
Your own wisdom.
Feel your breath once more.
Allow it to travel along your spine like it did at the start.
Each inhale through your third eye centre,
Down the central channel of your spine,
All the way to the very root of your being,
The tailbone.
And as you exhale,
All the way up through the central channel of your spine and out through the crown of the head.
Your breath grows deeper,
Bigger,
More vital as you tune back into your senses.
You flare your nostrils and you feel into the temperature and the texture of the air as you breathe in and the temperature and the texture of the air as you breathe out.
You notice the currents of air that land on your skin.
You notice the feeling of fabric that lands on the other parts of your skin.
You feel the different sensations of warmth and coolness.
And you send your sense of hearing outwards,
Receiving the outer world back into your awareness.
Slowly coming back into this outer world,
Bringing with you a divine trust in your own knowledge,
Your own intuition,
Your own foresight.
Take deeper rounds of breath and roll onto one side.
Give yourself a moment here.
Feel through the softness of your being.
Take your time before you open your eyes again.
There's no rush.
This is where we close our practice together.
But do take your time to come back to a sense of wakefulness and to move back through your day.
