This little ditty is about how to interact with emotion,
Positive and negative,
And move forward and be our best selves.
Because essentially isn't that what we're looking to do?
We're looking to be our best self as we engage with the day,
Our lives,
Those in our lives,
And ourselves.
We would like to be our best self and bring out the best in others and bring out the best in ourself as we're being our best self.
Sounds a little circular,
But most good things are.
So how do we work with emotion?
One thing we can do is we can work with negative emotion.
That's pretty easy.
If something comes up that doesn't feel good,
We can say the love of,
Name the negative emotion,
And then say absolute love.
So right now I'm feeling a little disdain,
So I could say the love of,
Disdain,
Absolute love.
The disdain that I felt in my stomach has disappeared completely.
It was like a whirling ball that disappeared,
And in its place I feel a lightness and a joy of life,
Like a certain amount of love of life.
So I invite you to pick something in your life that doesn't feel good and come up with a negative emotion for it,
And then we'll see what we can do with that.
If you've got it,
Great.
If not,
Just think of something that bothers you.
Good.
Now put a negative emotion on it.
Good.
Now repeat after me.
The negative emotion,
Say it out loud.
Oh no,
No,
No.
Say the love of.
Now say the negative emotion out loud.
Absolute love.
So we'll do it one more time because I sort of messed up a little bit there.
So say out loud the love of,
Now the negative emotion that you picked,
And now absolute love.
Good.
And you're feeling it disappear.
It's done its job.
It's brought you back to the love because there's a certain amount of love in negative emotions.
They can wake us up.
And when you just focus on the love there,
The negative part of the emotion and its consequences disappear.
It's pretty amazing.
Pretty radical.
Now let's work with positive emotion.
It's a little easier.
We could come up with the positive emotion that we're feeling in the moment,
Which is rather easy.
You could be feeling elation,
Joy,
Wisdom,
Peace,
Harmony.
Or we could do something a little bit more difficult,
Which is we could try to find the positive emotion that a situation is trying to get us to reconnect to,
Which usually involves muscle testing.
Which is what I do with Believe Love.
I muscle test for that and it's quite radical and amazing.
But let's do the first version.
Think of a positive emotion.
Any positive emotion could be one that you're feeling easily or one that you're not.
Say it out loud and then say absolute love.
So for me it's joy,
Absolute love.
Wow,
I just felt that joy blossom.
So to recap,
We can work with negative emotions by saying the love of,
The negative emotion,
And then absolute love.
And then it's one step simpler with positive emotion.
You just say the positive emotion,
Then absolute love.
In either case,
You're creating space and love.
With the negative emotion,
You're creating space where the negative emotion was and feeling the love there.
And with positive emotion,
You're allowing that positive emotion to blossom.
So feel free to write this down.
Listen to the track again and write down those simple steps and use it in your day-to-day because working with emotion is what allows us to be our best selves.
Because the other stuff is just what the other stuff is or what our mind makes it out to be.
But if you can have a good heartfelt outlook on it,
You're ahead of the game.
