I want to talk about shame.
This is prevalent since I,
You know,
This one felt it in herself a lot in my earlier years.
And the hard thing is,
With the journey,
Sometimes when you're moving into truth and you're taking an action into truth,
You can feel ashamed of it.
And it's like the ego is trying to stop you from loving,
Basically.
But some of us are circulating in shame and we haven't even accessed our true soul energy yet.
So I want to speak to this.
Okay.
One is,
You know,
The one of the commandments,
Honor thy father and thy mother.
You know,
I think it was in my 50s before it dawned on me that if I could see the goodness and greatness of my parents,
That I could see my own goodness and greatness.
Do you understand?
And as long as I was seeing them as second-rate people,
I was functioning as a second-rate person.
I'm not kidding you guys about this.
And it works the other way,
That if you see your goodness and greatness,
You'll be able to see it in your parents.
With the kids,
Because I had not truly,
Deeply forgiven my mom and dad,
I actually wounded my kids in the same way,
But a different version.
That was very shocking to me.
But,
You know,
I forgave myself because really not to wound our kids,
We'd have to be self-realized.
It's just the human condition.
To the extent that we're in our egos,
We'll wound our kids.
But that was very sobering for me to see.
So when I saw that,
When I honored my parents and saw the golden them,
I could see the golden me,
I realized why we had that commandment,
Honor thy father and thy mother.
And in our eras,
You know,
We're very focused on trauma and all the things we're doing wrong.
And we kind of ignore the good things and the strengths,
Say,
Of our parents.
You know,
Amma says,
Nowadays,
The modern mind is like,
They'll look at a painting and they'll see,
You know,
The black spot on a white canvas.
And that's all they'll see,
The black spot.
But really,
The rest of the white canvas,
There's a symphony of whites and different brushstrokes and everything that just don't get noticed.
We just see the dark,
You know.
We really do tend to do this until we have allowed our hearts to wake up,
Right?
To be able to see the gold within us,
You guys,
And then we can see it in others.
Also,
Follow through with your journey.
You see,
The more you act along the lines of where your soul wants you to go,
The more self-respect you're going to get.
If you're refusing to take any action where you really have to embody your soul more,
You will not have feelings of self-respect.
You'll have feelings of secretly hiding underneath,
Really deeply underneath.
You might feel that you're secretly hiding.
You know,
It is these really deep feelings underneath that are telling us the truth of what we're doing.
