Make yourself comfortable wherever you choose to do this meditation.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out.
Let your shoulders relax along with your head and neck.
Close your face,
Your arms and legs and rest your hands,
Palms facing upward.
Focus on your breath now.
Your thoughts may come and go and that's okay,
Let them float on by and gently guide your focus back to your breath.
Feel your body completely relaxed.
Now turn your focus to your heart center,
Feeling it open and expand as you breathe into your heart space.
Continue to focus on breathing into your heart chakra and feel the love and energy within.
Give yourself a moment in this space to soak it in.
Now turn your mind to someone in your life you know you need to forgive.
Each time we take the opportunity to forgive someone,
You're also given the chance to forgive yourself.
Everything in your life is a reflection of yourself,
Your thoughts and how to treat yourself.
When we hold grudges against others or ourselves,
We block our heart chakra from compassion,
Empathy,
Gratitude,
Joy and peace.
The truth is you must let go.
A key part of forgiveness is the ability to release and surrender what has hurt you.
When you forgive,
You're able to let go of low vibration emotional frequencies such as anger,
Guilt,
Shame and resentment.
Some situations might take longer than others and that's okay.
As you work on opening that heart chakra for forgiveness,
Your capacity to respond out of love instead of fear or anger to difficult situations and mistakes will expand.
Now place a hand on your heart continuing to breathe and repeat these affirmations.
I love myself deeply.
I forgive myself and I forgive others.
I let go of what no longer serves me.
Now think of that person receiving your forgiveness and send them love and kindness.
Breathe in that love and kindness also for yourself.
Forgiveness is like any exercise.
It takes practice but becomes easier the more you do it.
Release and surrender this person and yourself so you are free from this burden you've held and feel your heart space become lighter.
Take a deep breath in now and out.
And repeat those affirmations again.
I love myself deeply.
I forgive myself and I forgive others.
I let go of what no longer serves me.
Rest for a moment here and bask in the radiance of forgiveness,
Love and kindness.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes,
Stretch your body and go out into the world knowing you can return to this meditation anytime you need it as a reminder to forgive.
