The ground of being is empty of everything. An objectless, spaceless, timeless, thoughtless void. But everything that exists comes from this No place, including you and I. This empty ground that we emerged from is the Womb of the universe.

Hello everybody and welcome to Meditation 3 of the Journey of Transformation.

This meditation is on spaciousness.

And just a little reminder,

As I said,

We're building upon each meditation as we move along.

And so we started with the ground of being that is empty of everything.

So we're remembering the ground of being,

The objectless,

Spaceless,

Timeless,

Thoughtless,

Void,

The ocean of deep,

Deep peace.

And that ground of being is the spaciousness in which is the context of this meditation.

And the experience of meditation enables you to know this empty ground and spaciousness within your own self.

So even in the midst of chaotic movement of thought and feelings,

You can discover a current of stillness that is the echo of this ground of being of your true nature.

And there is a great mystery in that current,

A miraculous,

Enlightening depth that seems to answer all questions and relieve all doubts.

So we're building upon that beautiful,

Timeless,

Inner quiet space of being.

And we're allowing everything to be just as it is.

We're allowing everything to be just as it is.

And we're just watching and letting go of any restlessness of the body.

And as you fall deeper into presence,

You will know that there is a deep,

Deep part of this ground of being or spaciousness within your own being.

So we're turning our attention in now and you're looking within and just noticing the spaciousness,

The emptiness that is within.

And as you look within,

The mind might try to label things and say that there's this or that.

It might notice colours,

It might notice feelings or it might notice words.

Try to label things.

But the spaciousness is the space in which all of those things arise.

So there's a background,

A space.

So if you're noticing anything,

Then I want you to just discover a bit deeper and look into the spaciousness that is there,

Deep within the core of your being.

You'll notice a beautiful,

Beautiful,

Deep,

Peaceful darkness.

But it's not a darkness,

It's fearful.

It's actually a rich,

Comforting darkness,

A spaciousness.

And you're just gently breathing into that spaciousness and really finding your own sense of peace with that.

You notice how that spaciousness is free from any stress,

It's free from any struggles,

It's free from any challenges or frustration.

Those things just arise in the mind and in the body,

But the spaciousness deep within,

It actually isn't concerned with any of those things.

It is the holding,

The loving hold deep within.

And just notice the spaciousness now that's outside the body.

Just notice that there's a spaciousness that surrounds your body.

We're not labeling that as a room or outside or wherever it is that you are.

We're just noticing the spaciousness.

Just notice that there is a silent,

Loving holding,

Which is the space.

And feel that touching the very top layers of the skin of your body.

How does it feel for the space,

The spaciousness to be touching so gently upon the layers of your skin?

And notice again that spaciousness moving down into your body,

Back down into the core of your being.

So the spaciousness,

The calm,

Peaceful void,

Not only is deep within the core of your own body,

The spaciousness that surrounds us.

So it's all things.

And that spaciousness extends out beyond the room,

Beyond wherever you are outside.

It extends beyond into the cosmos.

And that spaciousness,

It continues forever and ever,

Unfolding continuously.

And this has been going on for 14 billion years.

A spaciousness that is 14 billion years old is quite amazing.

And then,

Even when we step back to the very,

Very place from which the space of the creative,

Manifested world of form comes from,

We once again fall deeply,

Deeply into the ground of being.

The place of no thing,

The place before anything was even brought into being.

So we allow ourselves to fall back into that depth of spaciousness one more time.

And notice how the spaciousness of the ground of being is the same space,

Peaceful space that is also in the very core of your body.

This beautiful expression.

You are an extension of that spaciousness.

And it's expressed within everything.

Everything is made of this same beautiful space.

This emptiness that although is empty,

It is full,

So full of true peace.

And that peace,

When felt at the core of our hearts,

Is that unconditional love.

And so we continue to open up to the spaciousness,

Inviting it in,

Opening and really feeling it,

Expanding out.

Not only be around us,

Beyond us,

But deep within us.

We rest in the spaciousness.

Thank you.

And we move into an even deeper inquiry about the incredible context of spaciousness.

We're noticing that there is a spaciousness between my words.

My words arise,

Then there is a space where they fall away into.

And then they rise again.

My voice.

It arises from the spaciousness.

And it falls back into the spaciousness.

Just notice how that is for you.

My voice arises from nothing.

It stays for a while.

And it falls back into the nothingness,

Into the spaciousness.

Just like your thoughts.

Your thoughts arise from nowhere,

From nothing,

Which is the ground of being,

Consciousness.

So thoughts arise from nowhere.

They stay for a while,

Hang out in the mind.

And then they too eventually fall away.

So this makes our thoughts and our words and everything impermanent.

They come,

They go,

They stay for a while.

But for deep inquiry,

Notice that the spaciousness,

The emptiness from which everything arises,

Just notice how it doesn't go anywhere.

That spaciousness always remains.

And this is what is permanent.

This is what all the ancient teachings speak of.

That which is permanent is the spaciousness,

The consciousness.

That which does not move.

Where things move,

Arise,

Come and go.

But it stays the same.

That is the true finding.

That is the truth of awakening to your true nature.

You are that awareness.

You are that spaciousness.

Because you're the one who is aware of all of this occurring right now.

You are that awareness.

You are that spaciousness.

You are that spaciousness.

You are that spaciousness.
