Hey loves,
Thanks for tuning in today.
Today's topic is about letting go to embrace the moment.
The first one is to make space to face feelings and we can do this by meditating on them,
Journaling them,
And recording them.
And recording them really helps me because I'm able to refer back to them when I'm feeling down.
And the reason we do all this is because when we push away feelings we create resistance.
But imagine if we were to invite all these uncomfortable feelings.
What would happen?
It actually might surprise you.
The second one is letting go of past people and memories.
And I think we do this because,
Or we focus on them because we wish they went a different way or we wish we could have changed them.
But the reality is when we're living in the past we're creating depression and when we're living in the future we're creating anxiety.
And we want to live in the middle,
In the present.
Another point is attaching powerful messages to memories.
For example,
When I was in an uncomfortable position I would have never found out how much I loved yoga and meditation and learned so much about myself.
So already we're taking a negative into a positive and shifting our minds to gratitude.
And another thing to remember is,
You know,
When we overthink it shows how much we care,
Which is really beautiful.
But it doesn't mean we punish ourselves forever.
We all deserve to grow,
To try again,
To be forgiven.
It's all part of being a human being.
Going back to the point of letting go of people.
I think we do this because we wish we could change them or we can't believe their behavior.
But remember,
What we focus on grows.
And imagine if we were to put all this energy onto someone we love and aspire to be.
It would make such a difference.
And put this into perspective.
We're worried about people who probably barely put any thought into us.
And relationships take two people,
So why are we only putting the pressure only on us?
And lastly,
Remember everyone is gonna have to face themselves at one point.
So just sit back,
Have faith,
And trust the universe will handle it.
And you just do you.
Another point is to find things that make you feel at ease.
And what does that really mean,
To be present?
For me it means to be calm and lost in a moment that you forget time and even the world.
And for me personally,
It's really hard for me to be present.
And when I am,
Sometimes I question it like,
Should I be or should I be on the edge?
And honestly,
Being on the edge all the time is not a healthy way of living.
And being in a relaxed state is a space where magic really happens.
And we can do this by doing things we love,
Like yoga,
Meditation,
Poetry,
And oil painting.
If you haven't tried it,
I highly recommend it.
It's definitely a challenge,
But it's really beautiful and you can really get lost.
Another point is being okay with where you are at today.
And being okay with it.
I feel like society really puts huge standards on us today.
And it's okay to have big goals,
But having only big goals can be really empty.
Speaking from my own personal experiences.
So reminding myself of little things like making dinner for my family or enjoying the sunset.
I feel like it's what life is all about.
Another point is exploring new things,
Trying new things,
Hobbies,
Joining new clubs.
Not only do we learn so much about ourselves,
But it really gives us a new perspective on life.
Actually,
Learning new things decreases our chances of Alzheimer's.
So that's really cool.
And another point is attaching beautiful meanings to things we are doing now.
For example,
We all know the benefits of yoga,
But coming to the mat itself is already so amazing and a huge accomplishment.
But when we're doing it,
Really reminding ourselves of the love and care we're giving ourselves.
And knowing that all of the love we're giving ourselves is gonna add up to something bigger and beautiful.
And those are all the points.
So just a quick summary.
Number one is to make space for feelings.
Two,
Let go of past memories and people.
Three,
Attaching powerful messages to past memories.
Four,
Finding things that make you feel at ease.
Five,
Being okay with where you are at today.
Six,
Exploring new things.
Seven,
Is attaching beautiful meanings to things we do now.
And before I close this talk,
I just want to leave a beautiful quote from Rumi.
He says,
The moment you accept what troubles you've been given,
The door will open.
I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for listening and namaste!
