Welcome to Samora Life where I help you learn how to love yourself first.
I am Samora and we are going to practice self-forgiveness in this meditation today.
So find a comfy place to sit and spine is long.
We're actually going to start with a little bit of alternate nostril breathing.
So what you'll need is to take your pointer finger and your middle finger and place it on your third eye in between your eyebrows.
Good.
And then with your thumb gently press your right nostril and inhale through your left nostril.
Really deep inhale and then plug your left nostril with your ring finger and exhale out of your right nostril.
Now inhale through that right nostril plug it with your thumb and exhale out of your left nostril.
Good.
Inhale through your left nostril plug it and exhale out of the right.
Inhale through the right plug exhale through the left.
Inhale through the left plug exhale through the right.
Do this on your own time,
Your own breath,
But you can start to feel the benefits of this breathing technique.
It will calm your mind,
Your body feels really relaxed.
It's an instant way to get into your body and to get into your breath.
Perfect way to start tapping into ourself.
So continue to breathe in through the right nostril plug out through the left.
Close your eyes.
In through the left,
Out through the right.
In through the right,
Out through the left.
In through the left,
Out through the right.
In through the right,
Out through the left.
Good.
And just release whenever you're ready.
Continue to breathe really big breaths.
Feel the sensation that's in your body after doing that technique.
I love this quote by Lewis B.
Smethes.
He says,
To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.
That's how sometimes we feel subconsciously when we are in unforgiveness,
Especially towards ourselves.
When we make a mistake and for some reason we still blame,
We still judge,
We still become angered with ourselves for that mistake.
Breathe here.
Stay with me here in this present moment because the misconception about forgiveness is that it means that we have to let ourselves off the hook or let someone else off the hook if we're talking about forgiveness in general.
It's that we're weak or we excuse that behavior but this is not true.
You can still learn to keep a distance from someone and still forgive them or learn not to repeat an action that you've done,
A mistake that you made.
You learn from that and you forgive yourself.
It's about you.
It's about letting go of anger or resentment towards that mistake,
Towards that person and it requires the ultimate expression of love.
So in today's meditation I want us to explore the possibility of opening ourselves to the idea that there's a lesson,
A belief,
A mindset that can be revealed through the situation that needs a little forgiveness.
Continue to breathe,
Being with yourself,
Finding love energy in every breath and sending that love energy all throughout your body.
Find places to send that love energy that might need healing,
That might need more support,
That might just need attention.
Stick with it and breathe.
You can feel the love energy in your body.
You can feel the love energy in your body.
You can feel the love energy in your body.
Bringing your attention on to your breath,
Allowing thoughts to just float away,
Not getting too caught up,
Too attached to what could be,
What should be,
What happened.
Just let it go and possibly practice acceptance.
Acceptance is a step to self-forgiveness.
Understanding that the past hurts,
Struggles,
Regrets,
Choices can be learning moments,
Can be times that just require more reflection that allowed you to grow more,
That allowed you to think differently,
That allowed you to be who you are today.
Think about your journey,
Where you were,
Where you are now.
Can you breathe into acceptance?
Everything is really okay.
Conscious breathing.
Coming into your body,
Into your breath.
Taking really deep,
Conscious,
Mindful breaths.
Sticking with your present moment with yourself.
And now I want you to think about how it feels to be compassionate.
How to honor yourself and honor others even when they make mistakes,
Even when you mess up.
Knowing that it was not intentional,
Practicing compassion,
Practicing empathy.
Knowing that no one's perfect,
No one has it all figured out.
Everything is okay.
Take a deep inhale.
Notice what it feels like to have compassion towards yourself and your body,
To practice empathy.
When something goes wrong,
What does that feel like?
Breathe.
Breathe.
Let everything go.
Focusing on your breath.
How your breath moves throughout your body.
Making sure that you have love,
Energy within you as you explore.
And let's think about how we can reframe hurtful experiences.
Things that were not as planned,
That messed up something that you wanted.
Something that went wrong.
But maybe it was an opportunity for growth.
Maybe it's what you needed to do something different.
Mistakes are lessons that are repeated until learned.
So sometimes you have to just find the lesson.
Seek the knowledge.
What does it feel like to reframe something that you did or you said and now is teaching you a very important lesson.
What is the lesson?
What are you learning?
Continue to breathe.
And breathe.
Continue to breathe.
Allow yourself to feel all the feelings.
How have you hurt yourself?
Whatever you feel,
Whatever you see,
Whatever you think,
Just let it go.
Practice forgiveness.
Say,
I forgive me.
I forgive myself.
Everything will always work itself out.
You are loved.
Sometimes we just want to protect ourselves.
But what will happen if you just let go?
Trust that you really are right where you're supposed to be.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Breathe consciously,
Steadily,
Mindfully.
Now take a deep inhale with me.
Long exhale,
Let it go.
Good.
One more deep inhale.
Long exhale,
Release.
Blink your eyes open,
Bringing yourself back into your surroundings,
Into your environment.
And you could bring your palms together either in heart center or just place them in your lap.
I want to thank you for meditating with me.
Please like and subscribe and share with friends because life is better when we do it together.
Until next time,
Goodbye.
