
Becoming Conscious Of The Subconscious

The subconscious mind is a reservoir of past thoughts and emotions. It is the subconscious that drives majority of our lives. What if we become aware of our own subconscious patterns? Saqib believes that you will experience a huge personal transformation once you become conscious of the subconscious. In this talk, he will present to you a step-by-step process of how you can take control of your subconscious and transform your life for the better!

If you want a new outcome,
You will have to break the habit of being yourself and reinvent a new self.
In today's session,
We will discuss the most important part of our minds,
That is,
The subconscious mind.
When I say that it is the most important part of our mind,
I am not exaggerating.
The two levels of consciousness that we mainly use in our physical lives are the conscious and the subconscious.
And the subconscious mind accounts for 95% of the mind,
Whereas the conscious accounts for only 5% of the mind.
Just imagine,
95% of the mind is subconscious.
Which means that most of our life is driven by the subconscious mind.
And it amuses me that we still ignore it.
No wonder for most of us,
Our lives are out of control.
If we don't understand that part of the mind that controls most of our physical life,
Then most of our life is bound to be out of control.
Our body is mainly controlled by our subconscious mind.
All the automatic functions in the body,
The beating of the heart,
Blood flow,
Respiration,
Digestion etc.
Are controlled by the subconscious mind.
All our habits like reaching out for our smartphone,
Brushing our teeth in the morning,
Driving,
Nail biting,
Walking etc.
Are the daily life patterns embedded in our subconscious.
The subconscious mind is actually the record of our past memories.
Whatever we have learned in our past from our external environment gets stored and embedded in the subconscious.
Therefore our body functions based on our past memories.
Whatever our bodies are doing every day,
For most of it,
Are the habits of the past.
Hence,
To prime our body towards a new future,
We will have to change our subconscious mind.
In other words,
To create a desired future,
We will have to change our subconscious patterns.
For the soul to achieve its purpose,
It will have to work in alignment with the mind and the body,
Most of which are subconscious.
The subconscious mind has advantages and disadvantages both.
The subconscious habits help us do most of our daily activities automatically.
You don't have to consciously make your heart beat or release the hormones in your body.
You don't even have to consciously drive.
Your body has been automated by the subconscious to turn the steering wheel,
To shift the gears,
To press the gas pedal etc.
On the other hand,
These automatic patterns can become a curse for us.
We get comfortable with these automatic habits and form our own comfort zone.
So when you are required to come out of your comfort zone,
The body feels threatened and it involves a lot of conscious effort to change our subconscious patterns.
For example,
If someone has a pattern of eating unhealthy food or smoking or drinking alcohol,
When you ask them to leave that habit,
Their body will feel threatened.
That is because it will have to come out of that comfort zone of the automatic patterns of drinking,
Smoking or unhealthy eating.
So the question arises,
How can we change these destructive subconscious patterns?
How can we install new habits into our subconscious that are in alignment with the purpose of our soul for this particular lifetime?
For this,
I would like to offer a step by step process that can help us let go of the destructive subconscious patterns and create new subconscious patterns that can help us live a happy,
Peaceful and abundant life and fulfill the purpose of our soul.
Step number one,
Becoming conscious of the subconscious.
The more we get to know our subconscious mind,
That is,
The more conscious we become of our habits and patterns,
The higher are the chances that we will be able to remove destructive habits and install constructive habits.
The first step is becoming aware of our habits and patterns.
Many of us are not even aware of what patterns we have.
We keep on attracting unwanted things in our life and we don't even know that it is our own beliefs,
Thoughts and words that are attracting those situations.
We keep attracting diseases,
Troubled relationships,
Financial losses,
Etc.
And we think that something external is responsible for this.
We then blame others,
We blame our destiny or we blame God.
We are unaware that it is our own subconscious beliefs,
Fears and thoughts that are attracting those things to us.
So when we say words like,
My life is miserable,
That is precisely what we invite,
A miserable life.
Hence,
Step one is to become aware.
So the two questions are,
Number one,
What does this habit have to do with the purpose of my soul?
And number two,
Is this thought of mine a fear-based thought or an abundance-based thought?
Once you become conscious of your destructive subconscious thoughts,
Words and habits,
It will be time for step number two.
Step number two,
Stop and win.
As soon as you find yourself drowned in fear-based thinking or making fear-based statements or whenever you find yourself doing something destructive out of habit,
Stop yourself right there.
By stopping yourself,
You are interrupting the automatic pattern.
By doing this,
You are telling the body that it is not the CEO,
You are the CEO and now you will decide that what you will think and what you will do.
Every time you stop yourself,
It is a victory.
Keep counting and noting down the number of victories you achieve every day.
As your number of wins pertaining to a particular negative thought,
Word or habit increases,
That destructive pattern becomes weaker and weaker.
As soon as you stop yourself,
It will now be time for step number three.
Step number three,
Switching the habit.
Switch the destructive thought,
Statement or habit with a constructive one.
So for example,
If you find yourself saying something like,
My health is becoming worse,
Switch it with a thought and statement like,
I have the potential to heal myself and I will get better and better each day from now on.
Or whenever you reach out for your cigarette just for time pass,
Stop there,
Take control and switch to a better way of passing your time by either talking to a stranger and getting to know them or by watching a video that would make you learn something new today.
Step number four,
Elevating emotions.
This is the most crucial step.
Our subconscious is a massive storage of our past emotions.
More than thoughts,
It is the feelings that get stored in the subconscious.
How your parents,
Siblings,
Teachers and friends made you feel in your childhood has shaped your subconscious to a great extent.
That is why people who experience childhood abuse tend to have the most destructive habits and patterns.
So if you change the feeling,
You will change your subconscious patterns.
Once you are done with switching the thought,
Statement or habit,
It is time to feel it deeply.
So notice,
Keep your hands on your heart and then remember a situation when you felt loved,
Healthy,
Abundant etc.
So like in the previous example,
If you change this statement to I am getting better and better day by day,
Remember a situation when you were in the pink of your health and feel that good health in your heart.
Feel healthy from your whole body and carry that feeling throughout the day.
Step number five,
Switching your personality.
To carry that feeling of abundance throughout the day,
Change your personality.
Let's say you want to install a habit of speaking confidently.
Feel in your heart that you are an excellent communicator because you can tap into your infinite potential.
Keep saying to yourself loudly,
I am a great communicator and walk and talk the way an excellent communicator would.
Feel and be that great communicator as if you have already become one.
Have that fantastic personality.
Step number six,
Gratitude.
Once you imbibe that personality,
Be thankful for it.
When you already feel grateful for your new habit as if you have already developed it,
Your subconscious will believe you and it will store that particular habit.
And step number seven,
Subconscious suggestion.
There are certain times during the day when the gates of your subconscious are wide open.
That is the time when you can easily throw in a new thought and a new belief and let the subconscious install it.
The times when the gates of your subconscious are open are just after you wake up and just before you go to sleep.
During that time,
Your brain is at the theta brainwave state when your mind is highly suggestible.
This is the reason late night TV advertising works well for brands.
So if just before sleeping and just after waking up,
You think abundant thoughts,
Speak positive words and practice good habits,
Your mind will install them more quickly.
So I hope you now have a better idea about the subconscious mind and how you can take control of it.
Needless to say,
The practice of becoming aware,
Stopping,
Switching,
Feeling and developing a new personality has to be done again and again,
Day in and day out.
With repetition,
You will soon install great habits that will take your life to another level.
