Greetings,

And welcome to this guided meditation and self-inquiry practice,

Where we embark on a search for clarity together.

My name is Sarah,

And thank you for trusting me to be your guide.

Before we begin,

Find the most comfortable position for your body.

It doesn't really matter if you're sitting upright with your legs crossed,

In a chair,

Or laying down.

Position yourself in a way that feels nourishing and comfortable,

So that your body won't be a source of disruption during this meditation.

When you're ready,

You can close the eyes,

Scanning through the body and noticing any points of tension or contraction.

Allowing those muscles to gently release as you send the breath to these points in the body.

Imagine that the breath is moving in through the nose,

Down into the lungs,

And then out to this place of tension.

When the breath reaches these muscles,

Visualize them releasing,

And if you notice that you're holding on,

Allow them to slowly let go.

Keep breathing in this way until you feel the whole body soften,

Relax,

And neutralize.

You have come here searching for clarity.

You might be feeling stressed or uncertain,

Like the road ahead of you is on the other side of a hill that you can't quite see over.

Maybe you've asked others for advice in hopes that they'll have the answers that you seek,

But ultimately only you know what's right for you.

This is the time now for you to trust so deeply,

Perhaps more than you ever have before,

To find not only clarity,

But the courage to act upon it.

The body is our biggest source of wisdom and it shares messages with us constantly.

Whatever it is that you're seeking clarity about now,

Bring it into your mind's eye,

Visualize it.

Perhaps you can hear yourself describing it or asking a particular question about it.

Now pause,

Come back to the body and notice what is happening.

What do you feel in your body now?

Pressure in the chest,

Tightening of the stomach,

Clenching of the fists.

Take your attention to the part of your body that is speaking loudest to you,

Zone in all your awareness to that place and as before start to breathe into it,

Allow it to relax and soften.

Doing this practice is like retraining your body to come back to a place of neutrality so that you can hear the answers that you need to know.

Taking a few breaths until you find yourself neutral again.

I'm going to ask three questions and when I do,

You can answer them silently or out loud to yourself.

Say whatever comes up first for you.

For now,

Answer these questions from the thinking mind,

The rational part of you that problem solves and thinks everything through.

So ask your mind,

What do I want to have?

What do I want to have?

Next,

Ask your mind,

What do I want to do?

What do I want to do?

Finally,

Ask your mind,

Who do I want to be?

Who do I want to be?

Let those answers go.

You can even thank your mind for being so honest and sharing what it thinks is best for you.

Next,

Take all your attention and awareness to your heart,

Noticing how it feels,

Perhaps sensing the heart beating.

All awareness on your heart now.

Ask your heart,

What do I want to have?

What do I want to have?

Ask your heart,

What do I want to do?

What do I want to do?

Finally,

Ask your heart,

Who do I want to be?

Who do I want to be?

Allowing the answers from your heart to just sit with you for a while.

Notice how your body feels as you hear the messages from your heart.

Let's sit in stillness now for a short time,

Simply noticing and reflecting on what we have uncovered.

You have all the answers inside of you.

You have all the answers inside of you.

Trust the wisdom within.

Starting to bring your awareness back into the room.

Noticing any sounds around you.

Noticing any sensations in the body.

Noticing the breath and perhaps breathing a little deeper in these last few moments to yourself.

And when you feel ready,

You can open the eyes.
