Let yourself take the time to settle and find a space of quiet that encourages and calls in a sense of ease.

You can either sit down or lie down,

Whatever is most comfortable,

Tending to your body so that you can allow yourself to completely relax.

Now go ahead and close your eyes.

It might take a few slow blinks to let the veil soften and on the other side of that there might be a long and slow breath out,

Perhaps a sigh.

Take three conscious breaths now,

Inhaling through the nose all the way down to the lungs and then slowly exhale.

Two more just like that,

Feeling any tension,

Any stress start to gradually release.

And then continue to breathe slowly and gently as you bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

And then in this space begin to picture a warm,

Loving,

Golden light spreading from the top of your head and down the face and to the shoulders,

A warm,

Loving glow down the torso and the pelvis.

And continuing to sweep this along your legs,

Feeling a sense of lightness as the light washes over you,

Surrounding you,

Protecting you.

Take a few more moments to breathe,

To settle into this loving,

Warm embrace,

To reflect on all the things you're grateful for.

Breathing your lungs,

Sunshine,

Fresh air,

A compliment from a stranger,

Whatever comes to mind.

As each gratitude appears,

Visualize yourself saying the words,

Thank you.

Feel into your intuition a higher power,

Ask them to be revealed to you.

As you start to cultivate the sense of gratitude,

Can you sense into where it feels in your body?

Do you feel gratitude across the face?

Does it spread outwards and expand from your heart?

Wherever it is,

Enjoy the pleasant feeling it might give you.

Taking a few conscious breaths to expand this energy.

When we cultivate the practice of gratitude,

You might even find yourself able to be grateful for a difficult or unpleasant experience.

And if it feels safe,

You can start to bring to mind an experience in your life that is challenging,

One that you'd wish to be able to express gratitude.

And you can offer your appreciation and thank this challenge for what it may offer you,

For how it might encourage you to grow.

Gratitude for your body.

Gratitude for the mind.

And gratitude for the simple fact of being alive in this very moment.

And finally,

Appreciating the opportunity you've taken to pause and experience this practice in itself.

And for all that you have brought to mind and for the countless gifts in your life.

A final time saying thank you.

And to all the people,

To all that is around you and each and every part of you.

And for all that you've experienced for this life,

Thank you.

And really allowing this sense of gratitude to fill you completely as you breathe in and as you breathe out.

And settling into this breath for just a few more quiet moments.

And finishing with a sweeping full breath in,

Long and slow.

Open the mouth,

Release,

Sigh,

Let go.

And take the time to move gently through the physical body as you welcome back in your space.

And coming into your heart,

Maybe resting your hands in prayer,

Your chest,

Or one hand on top of the other.

And bowing down to yourself,

Honouring the time that you've taken to be here today.

Thank you.
