Hi,
This is Stefania and welcome to Wisdom Bits,
Small bites of information to help you live the positive lifestyle that you deserve.
Let's talk about the first hour of the day.
How can we get into our best energy flow?
That is such an important time.
I read something really interesting.
The article said that the way you,
We,
Spend the first hour of our day is very important because it sets the tone for the rest of the day.
So how do you spend the first hour of your day?
Do you roll out of bed,
Turn on the news and say to yourself how sad and depressing everything is and how sad that makes you feel?
Do you think about how you do not want to go to your place of employment if you have to go out to work that day?
It might be a good idea to make some changes in our morning routine to get the best out of our day and the best out of that first golden hour.
Few suggestions.
One thing that could be done when we get up is to do a little spiritual reading.
It doesn't have to be a lot of reading.
Don't even have to read a whole chapter,
Just a few pages,
A few paragraphs of some book or some article that inspires you.
That's enough.
Just something to get that energy into a positive path that will see you throughout the day.
Maybe even before that.
The first thing we could do when we wake up is to have a glass of water.
We've gone about eight hours without drinking anything.
So let's hydrate straight away.
Even if you have a glass of water by your bedside,
First thing,
As soon as you open your eyes,
Just reach over there,
Have a sip,
Start the hydration process.
Then we could try a small bit of exercise after we get out of bed.
Before we eat breakfast and begin our morning routine,
It doesn't have to be a big aerobic,
High-intensity training workout.
I'm just talking about stretching.
Stretching our arm muscles,
Our necks,
Or even really simple things like stretching by touching your toes and moving your arms around.
Any kind of movement is good,
Really,
Is just to get that blood going,
Get that blood flowing,
Get the energy moving.
We've been just lying there for so many hours.
So now we want to replenish our spiritual energy,
Our psychic energy,
Our physical energy.
So by the time you've done that,
It's probably time to eat breakfast.
If you eat breakfast,
Put on your clothes and get out the door.
But if you can spare a little more time on something that is your true passion,
Even if it's only five minutes,
Your hobby.
If you're working at a nine-to-five job,
But you have a dream of having your own business,
Then spend a few minutes,
10 minutes or more on that business.
This includes something even as simple as making a few notes of things to do when you have more time in the evening or on the weekend.
It's just all about keeping the dream energy alive and your motivation strong.
That first hour of the day can be a golden time for us,
A special time for us,
A sacred time for us.
Before we go out into the world,
Before we open our minds,
Our energy,
Our eyes to the world,
It can be a time for us to do something that gives us joy and energizes us before we get into the hustle and bustle and business of the day.
I'm thinking for myself,
I like to start the day with a bit of sacred reading and then maybe pull an oracle card,
And if I have time,
Do a little yoga.
If it's a very,
Very busy morning,
There might not be any yoga,
But there will be some stretching,
Moving the arms,
Touching my toes,
Bending over,
Touching my toes,
Touching my fingers,
Bending over to the floor,
Just something.
The yoga is not strenuous asanas either,
But it does get my blood flowing and stretches my muscles so that I can be flexible.
Then I'm off to start my day.
I might also make a few notes on things that I want to do during the day or just things that I want to do in the near future,
But I want to write it down so that I have it in writing and I can put it in my schedule.
I think to myself,
By the end of the day,
What do I want to have done?
Because there are so many things we can do during the day,
Aren't there?
Things we do for ourselves,
Things we do for others.
So that's why I ask myself by the end of the day,
What do I want to have accomplished?
I'm not talking about a whole 10 item long to-do list.
I'm talking about one thing,
Could be two things,
At a stretch,
Three things,
But the most important one thing,
What do I want to have done by the end of the day?
That gives me focus and it's important to have some kind of positive routine as we begin our day because sometimes we start the day tired.
We didn't sleep well,
Perhaps we were worried about something.
And if we carry that energy into the day,
It can send us into a downward spiral and anything that goes wrong just reinforces our low energy and sense of self.
So sometimes starting out on the day on a positive high note is effortless and easy.
We wake up and we are just ready to go,
But sometimes it takes a bit of work and that's where having a routine can help us to move forward when we're not in the mood.
We just get started on our routine and we find ourselves moving through that routine,
Lifting our spirits,
Lifting our minds,
Feeling a bit better.
What do you do in that first hour of your day with inspiration and purpose to move you towards your goals?
If you're looking for some affirmations to set you up for the day and keep you in a positive mindset,
Here are a few to get you started.
If any of these resonate with you,
Feel free to journal on them or just put them on a card and pop it into your wallet or your handbag or your pocket mirror in your bathroom.
Let's begin.
I start my day with joy.
I have a choice.
Today is going to be a good day.
I'm glad that I have a solid plan for accomplishing things today.
I'm glad that I have a solid plan for accomplishing things today.
I will be sure to make time for some kind of exercise today.
I am open to being of service to others and helping out where I can.
I am open to being of service to others and helping out where I can.
I spent some time today on things that bring me joy just because they make me happy.
I spent some time today on things that bring me joy just because they make me happy.
I'm good enough as I am.
Things are always working out for me.
I am blessed and grateful to be alive.
All is well.
And that's it for today's Wisdom Bit episode.
Take care.
Stay well.
Many blessings to you.
Bye for now.
