I've been asked to say a little bit about intuition,

So I will do that,

But this is only a three or four minute talkette.

Obviously a lot more could be said.

So settle into your meditation,

Just sitting quietly.

I'll say a few words and then we'll have a spacious guided meditation.

So,

Intuition.

First of all,

There are two types of intelligence.

Close your eyes if you wish,

I'll just rest in the body whilst we're talking.

There's the intelligence of your true nature,

Of your authentic self,

Whatever you want to call it,

Which is imbued with love and wisdom or love and intuition.

Intuitive wisdom.

That's your nature,

That's always present.

It's like the oxygen.

The air,

The oxygen is always present.

The other type of intelligence is of the mind.

We're only talking about the self-centered egoic functioning of the mind,

Not practical.

That's imbued with fear and limitation.

You can see it in your own experience,

The amount of fear that's created around that self-centered thinking.

So it's easy to talk about the opposite of intuition.

What mind needs to do,

It needs to have an experience constantly,

So it keeps presenting stories to you,

Scenarios of disaster or ruin or fantasy or how good it will be,

How good it used to be.

It wants to nail something down,

It wants a position.

It needs a position,

Something solid.

Then,

If I have a position,

I can then,

From this position,

I can,

You were safe,

I like you,

I don't like you,

And I can work out my world from this position and it doesn't work.

It can't work.

Because its premise is all wrong.

There's no solidity because it's all imagined.

You can't,

You can imagine a future,

But that future is imagined.

It lives in this imagined world to tie things down.

And when we fixate on that,

We fixate on that realm of thinking,

We are ill at ease,

We are anxious,

We are ill at ease,

We are anxious,

Because that's what we fixate on.

The mind fixates on trying to solidify this moment,

Something,

A position,

And we fixate on that.

Intuition doesn't fixate,

It's like a guiding system,

Like a missile guiding system,

Just guides.

It's happy to flow,

It knows it's not in charge of life,

It doesn't need to pin it down,

It is life.

It's your nature.

And it's always functioning.

So the only thing we need to do,

Which we do here,

Is to constantly come out of that overthinking,

Self-centered mind,

Into presence,

And we naturally open and access intuition.

Your intuition's brought you here.

It's not that it's completely absent.

It's not a thing,

It's an intelligence.

It's at one with the world.

It knows how the world works.

That's why we are at ease when we're living from intuition.

I think that will do.

It's been six minutes.

Six minutes.

So watch for the mind presenting whatever it presents,

Dropping into the body.

Remember,

We're not trying to attain anything,

Not trying to get anywhere,

So relax.

Feel the breath,

Not thinking about it,

Not visualizing it,

Just feeling the breath,

Just lightly.

You will notice at some point that you're lost in thought.

At that point,

Just release the thoughts,

Let them go,

And come back to the ease of just being here,

To the body,

Presence.

Just releasing the grip on any thoughts,

Not good or bad,

Just release them,

And relax into the body.

Simple.

Keep it simple and elegant.

Just checking that you're not tense.

If you are,

Just take a deep breath,

Just relax.

You're not trying to achieve anything.

It's okay to be tense,

Just feel it.

You welcome everything,

The sadness,

The joy,

The grief,

And follow nature's way,

Just let everything be.

The usual way,

Getting lost in stories,

It's okay.

No big deal,

No drama,

Just let the thoughts pass like clouds,

Which they were doing.

You'll feel the body relax slightly,

And rest on the breath.

Rest on the breath.

You're resting in being,

In presence.

We're untroubled,

And when we enter into the world of mind,

Creating stories,

The trouble can begin.

What about this?

What about that?

Just let it go.

Just feel the body.

Just relax.

You need a place to put the attention on the breath,

Below the navel,

Or seat.

What's mind presenting?

Pictures of the day,

Just let them go.

Come back to what's really happening,

And relax,

Practice bringing this session to a close.

Maybe a little stretch.

Remember,

We're not coming back from anywhere,

Not being anywhere,

We've been here.

You only leave here in the imagination,

And that's useful sometimes,

But here,

Just let it go,

Here,

Home.

Beautiful,

Simple,

Elegant,

It's all we need.

Thank you guys.

A simple nod to how we don’t come back from anywhere when we meditate. We are always in our intuition if we allow that. Thinking is a no natural state. Interesting.

Lovely meditation slightly marred by clunky production. ( Tiny bits missing, a bit jarring.) Got me well into the peace of the moment. Thank you! ♥️
