Welcome to this Yoga Nidra practice.
The practice of Yoga Nidra begins now.
During this experience,
Your physical body will relax completely while your mind stays alert and aware.
You will have an opportunity to connect with your authentic existence and to feel God's loving embrace.
Start by finding a quiet place where you can relax and rest.
You may want to place a thin cushion underneath your head.
Align your head and neck with the rest of your spine and take some time to make yourself very comfortable.
You may want to cover yourself with a blanket to stay warm and facilitate a state of safety.
Begin to settle into the posture,
Allowing every part of your body to just let go.
Now draw awareness to your face.
Relax your forehead.
Feel the muscles around your eyebrows softening.
Relax your eyes and eyelids and all the tiny muscles around your eyes.
Release any tension in your lips and allow the tongue to move away from the roof of your mouth.
Relax your jaw.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out in a long sigh through your mouth.
Do that one more time.
Take another deep breath and as you exhale,
Feel your body sinking deeper into the posture.
Now allow your breath to soften and your mind drift away from worries and outside distractions to follow each breath from beginning to middle to end.
Allow each breath to flow like a rolling wave.
Now say to yourself,
God loves me.
I am a child of God.
I am one of his unique creations,
His unique ideas.
My father-mother created me perfect in every way.
My true being is spiritual.
Even though I am having a material body experience,
What God created is not a physical form.
It is limitless,
Free,
Uninhibited by time,
Space,
Form,
Or any state of illness or disability.
When I align my thoughts with what God knows about me,
I can experience this perfection he created right now in this physical body experience.
Now,
Let's take a walk through your body,
Systematically relaxing each point that I mention.
Try to relax that part of the body without actually moving it.
This will release tension in the muscles,
Balance your subtle energies,
And promote a sense of mental harmony.
Draw your awareness to the point between the eyebrows,
Hollow of the throat,
Right shoulder joint.
Right elbow joint,
Middle of the right wrist,
Tip of the right thumb,
Tip of the index finger,

Tip of the ring finger,

Now visualize your whole body in space.
Begin to feel a sense that your form is filling space that is not really solid.
Your body in reality is mostly rapidly moving particles moving through air.
Shifts are happening all the time and you are more space than solid.
Feel spacious and as if you can shift with one thought any negative issue in your body.
Matter responds to thought.
It's been proven.
One thought can change your experience.
Use your mind to reject any tightness,
Any discomfort,
Any sense of dis-ease.
Become aware of your head and neck in space.
Become aware of your torso in space.
Now notice the shape of your arms and hands in space.
Your pelvis and hips in space.
Your legs and feet in space.
Your whole body in space.
You will now allow yourself to experience opposite conditions.
Start by experiencing the sensation of loneliness.
Feel the emptiness of being isolated.
Being completely alone but not by choice.
Feeling as if no one understands you.
No one cares for you.
As if you have no special connection with anyone.
As if there is no loving God to protect you.
Experience this loneliness in your body and mind.
Now let this sense of isolation and loneliness melt away.
And allow a sense of connectedness to embrace you.
Feel the loving support of family and friends.
See their faces and hear their voices.
Feel the love that they feel for you,
That you feel for them.
Feel that love,
That connectedness in your body and mind.
That warmth in your heart center.
That warmth in your whole being.
Now take a moment to transport yourself to a healing place.
It can be a place that is very sacred to you.
A place you've previously visited or a place you've always wanted to go.
Create an image of this place in your mind's eye first.
And then allow yourself to walk into the experience,
Engaging all your senses so that you feel as though you are there.
Smell the scents.
Taste the air.
Hear the sounds,
Maybe of nature.
As you immerse yourself in this place,
You can choose whether you want to sit or lie down.
Do whatever calls to you.
Allow yourself to become completely comfortable in this place,
Allowing it to soak into your being.
Notice your mind drifting into a state of calm as your thoughts slow down and you are truly aware of the present moment.
Notice each breath,
Each soothing sound that you hear.
Notice all the tension in your body melting away.
You feel so relaxed,
Soft muscles,
Soothing comfort in your body,
A tranquil mind.
Now allow yourself to feel a loving divine presence with you in this space.
Maybe you see the faces of angels.
Maybe you see the gentle,
Loving face of Jesus.
Maybe you simply feel enveloped by God's loving light.
Feel an experience being enveloped in the presence of the divine.
Loved.
Cared for.
Protected.
Restored.
Guided.
And now say to yourself,
God's angels are all around me.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am cared for.
I am protected.
God's loving arms are all around me.
I'm embraced in my father,
Mother's protective love.
Now take a moment to speak to God.
Ask him for a healing of whatever is bothering you.
It could be an illness,
A disability,
Or an uncomfortable state of mind.
Ask your father,
Mother,
While knowing all the while that he never created anything in you except perfection.
For example,
If you're experiencing back pain,
You could say,
Please,
Dear Lord,
Help me to see the me that you created.
Completely perfect and flawless.
Uninhibited in my movement and free of back pain.
Now take a moment now to say the prayer that feels right for you now.
And now take a moment to thank God for listening.
Know now and trust that it is done.
That your prayer is answered.
That you are completely well.
And feel a sense of peace in this knowing and allow yourself to drift into a deep state of peaceful meditation.
Now slowly bring yourself back to the room where you are resting.
Become aware of your breath and continue to feel the support and love of God so that you can carry that with you all day.
As you continue to breathe,
Just feel the easy rise and fall of your belly,
Rib cage and chest.
Be aware of your body.
Notice its outline and form.
Feel the support of the surface underneath you.
And feel the touch of the blanket on your skin.
The air on your skin.
Now bring some slow movements into your fingers and toes.
Maybe stretch the arms over the head or bring the knees in toward the chest.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me for this yoga nidra practice.
Namaste.
