This is a relaxation to connect to the sense of hearing through nature's gift of the early morning birdsong in Galway, Ireland. It is a gentle practice that is ideal for Ayurvedic medicine purposes. It will help to rebalance Vata dosha and pitta dosha through concentration and breath, and it is short enough to not irritate the Kapha dosha.

Sometimes,

Swapping to a more fling-flang-flung relaxation can be good.

We are winging it today,

Because I heard the bird song as I walked to work.

So when you're ready,

Find a space to lay down.

Make sure you're cozy,

And yes,

This will be a space to relax today.

This is dedicated to Emer,

One of our frontline workers.

Thank you Emer for the suggestion.

Taking yourself from the busyness,

Any straining,

Striving,

Overdoing and pushing.

So we come closer to a silent body,

A silent mind.

The silent presence within us can actually radiate out from the center of our being.

Breathe out and breathe in.

Pause and reel your senses inward,

An ancient practice known as Pratyahara.

It is the very beginning practice leading us to Samadhi,

Leading us to absorption.

Drawing the sense of smell inward is probably the easiest one.

Along with the sense of taste,

They go hand in hand together.

Eyes closing and letting the eyes drift into that unknown space of darkness.

At stages,

You might see colors and lights,

Different formations of our consciousness arriving.

You can always push through by lifting your eyes to look into the middle of your forehead,

And focusing attention there if you're going into any rumination,

Any chattering of the mind.

This point will remind you that you are here.

And the stiller we become,

The more this skin,

The more that sense of touch retreats inward.

Our motor neurons like to keep us active and ready to shift into fight or flight should we need it.

But you are safe as you slowly allow yourself to move into stillness and be surrounded by the beautiful sounds of the morning song.

Be surrounded because of your sense of hearing,

Of the inner joy of birds.

Through our sense of hearing,

We can focus on one specific sound that's up to you.

Find it and wait for it to arrive in your ears rather than seeking it and remain here in stillness,

Flooding your body with the rhythm of life.

And perhaps even allowing a simple smile to come.

You can connect into the physicality of the earth underneath you.

The heaviness of the body.

The lightness of sound.

And it is only to be here to remain in wakefulness.

Finding that essential breath.

And that breath out connecting you down into the earth and the breath in connecting you into the bird song,

Grounded and light all in one being.

The sound of A silent mind.

You become one with your breath.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with your breath.

You become one with the birdsong.

This is your natural rhythm.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You become one with the birdsong.

You remind yourself to seek it out.

It is here waiting for you to arrive.

The song of life moves through us.

We just have to listen to connect.

This is your natural rhythm.

There will be three bells rung to finish our time together,

This stillness.

This inner vibration of joy helped by the song of life moving in through your ears from nature's best chorus,

Our local birds.

The song of life moves through us.

We just have to listen to the song of life.

Thank you for joining me in our song.
