This is a meditative reflection on change and letting go. It invites you to see change as a beautiful and natural unfolding, helping you to move from a state of being resistant to change to embracing change, or just to be more at peace with change and impermanence. This track includes sounds from walks in the Viennese Wood, or 'Wienerwald', just outside Vienna, where musicians such as Schubert and Beethoven loved to walk while composing their next song cycle or piano concerto.

Hello and welcome to this meditation on change featuring the Viennese wood.

Like the autumn leaves turning brown,

Orange and yellow,

Change is the most natural part of life.

I welcome change with anticipation.

Instead of being afraid of what I might lose,

I'm curious about what or who I might become.

What colors will my soul take on in the next season of my life?

Who will I become thanks to all the lessons I am learning now?

If I were a tree,

How would I look in the autumn with my orange,

Red or yellow leaves?

I welcome the new lightness that comes when I shed old stories about myself that no longer serve me.

I also welcome the slow process of letting go of who I used to be and opening up to who I am becoming now.

Like a tree that's lived in the forest for 100 years,

I connect in deep with my roots and reach my arms towards the sky.

As I listen to my feet crunching on the fallen leaves,

I realize that no feet have ever crunched leaves in quite this way and never will again.

I enjoy the music of my feet crunching the autumn leaves below.

What if I could welcome change as part of the most beautiful process of life?

What if I could see myself like a leaf in the forest?

What if I could welcome all the different phases of my life?

As like a magical unfolding,

A magical transformation process.

What if I could welcome with curiosity all of my new incarnations,

All of my new thoughts,

All of my new emotions,

All of my new relationships,

Whatever challenges these bring?

What if I could welcome them all with open arms,

Seeing each change as part of the beautiful and magical process of life?

Whether I like it or not,

Change is a constant and is happening all the time.

So why not welcome changes into my life?

Why not open my heart to the new sensations,

To the new ways of being,

To my new thoughts?

Why not open my heart to new people,

To new relationships,

To new places,

To new experiences,

Knowing that this is life.

Life is change,

Transformation,

Movement.

Just like the forest in constant cycles of change,

I am just like the trees and just like the autumn leaves.

Every single phase of this transformation of the leaves is beautiful.

Just the same as every single transformation and change that I go through.

Thank you for listening to this meditation on change,

Filmed in the Wiener Wald,

The Wiener's Wood,

A place much beloved by the Austrian composer Franz Schubert,

Whose music has accompanied this track.

Schubert loved to wander through these woods,

Collecting inspiration for his beautiful music.

Until next time,

Stay well and stay open to beauty,

Life and change.
