Here you are again doing your best to learn something new.

It's so exciting every time you get something.

When you're learning harder things it takes a little bit longer and you need to have a really good way of turning learning into play.

I like to think of my mind as a magic genie.

When I say to it,

Magic genie I want to learn something new it listens very carefully to the instructions I give it.

If I throw everything down in a tantrum and say I can't do this,

It's too hard.

My magic genie goes,

As you wish master,

You will never be a good juggler.

But if I tell my magic genie I'm learning something that's very tricky I'm going to follow the instructions very carefully.

Please magic genie,

Listen to everything and watch me carefully so you can tell me what things I need to correct.

Every learning step,

Every step of the way gets harder and harder but you are training your magic genie mind to help you and your magic genie will go,

As you wish master and you will start to learn things faster and understand what kind of learner you are.

Maybe you're the kind of person who likes to think of your mind as a super computer.

What kind of code do you need to put in your magic brain to make sure that it gets the correct instructions for you to learn easily.

This is why your teacher is always saying,

Look,

Be still,

Listen with your eyes and ears.

This is active learning so that you can know exactly what she's told you to do and your computer brain takes in the code,

Takes in the instructions exactly as they've been designed to make the program run.

Every moment of your day is a chance to turn learning into play.

You are a genius on the rise.

All you have to do is listen and look and learn with all your feelings and you'll get such a surprise.

Such a quick learner you will soon be and all your new ideas they'll be set free.

Some things are definitely hard to do,

But if each time you try again you start anew take a deep breath and be ready to grow because you are worth learning everything you need to know.
