Welcome to my Take 5 Meditation Series.

This is a series of short,

Five-minute meditations that can be done anywhere,

Anytime.

Whenever you find yourself falling away from the present moment,

This is an opportunity to take five minutes for you to come back home to yourself and to really focus on what you need in the moment.

In this meditation,

We are going to focus on extending the length of our breath,

Starting by just finding the natural rhythm of your own breathing pattern in through your nose to note through your mouth,

Allowing the air to flow effortlessly.

And now we start by increasing the length of our breath.

We're going to inhale for five,

Hold at the top for five,

And exhale for five.

Starting now,

Inhaling through your nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

And five,

Holding at the top of the inhale for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

And exhaling through your mouth for five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

And one.

Again,

Just coming back to the normal rhythm of your breath,

Feeling that effortless flow of air before we move into round two.

Now for round two,

We're going to inhale for seven,

Hold for seven,

And exhale for seven.

If this feels too out of reach for you,

Just go at your own pace,

Whatever that looks like for you.

So we're going to start taking a deep breath in through your nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

And seven,

Holding at the top for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

And seven,

And exhaling out of your mouth for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

And one,

Allowing your breath to return to its normal pattern,

Whatever that looks like for you.

Inhales through your nose and exhales through your mouth,

Really feeling that sense of grounding this exercise brought,

Even just within those short five minutes.

And reminding yourself that you can come back to this exercise anytime you feel disconnected from yourself and your body,

Anytime you feel disconnected from the present moment,

And anytime you desire to connect deeper with yourself.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation practice.

Have a beautiful day.
