Breathing is the first autonomous act we take as we slide into this world. It is our connection to the universal intelligence. It is healing, transformative, and creative. Today’s practice is about learning to attune yourself to the power of the breath so that you can use it to clear stuck energy, raise your frequency, and plant magnificent seeds of intention.

Drawing in the breath is the very first thing we do as we slide into this world.

It is our first act of independence,

Of autonomy.

It is the point at which we say yes to this adventure.

Where we were once sustained and nurtured by our mothers,

Cradled in the womb,

We are now connected to the great mother of all that is.

The infinite,

The expanse,

The spiral dance.

The breath is your tethering to this vastness.

It is a conversation,

A collaboration.

It is karma.

It is cause and effect.

It is giving,

Receiving.

It is calming,

It is nurturing,

It is love.

When you ride the rhythm of the breath,

You massage and nourish your organs.

It warms your heart,

Soothes your nerves,

Fills you with boundless energy,

Inspiration,

And hope.

It is a conduit for change,

A pathway for dialogue.

It is also a corridor of creation,

Infused with your energetic signature,

Beaming out subtle waves of transmission in the form of intention,

Carrying forth your unique frequency,

And planting seeds into the fertile soil of the cosmos to be nurtured and cultivated,

And to take shape when the time is right,

Making its way back to you in the form of bounty.

So now,

As we sit together in this moment,

In this circle in the ether,

In this space of safety and self-reflection,

In this swirl of creation,

With lids drawn and eyes gently turned inward,

Lovingly and with great tenderness,

Allow the breath to move organically in and out of your body.

Notice how it is unique to you and how it deepens with each cycle.

Move across the vast terrain of your body,

From top to bottom,

From side to side,

Noticing any tension that may cling to you,

Anything you no longer have use for.

Ask yourself,

What is this tension connected to?

What thought,

Feeling,

Belief?

Bravely survey its origins like a great explorer uncovering an archaeological find.

And when you found it,

Acknowledge that it is no longer needed in this moment and intend to let it go.

Thank this energy for the lessons it has given you and give it permission to soften and meld into the energetic field that inhabits the space around you,

So that it can be absorbed and recycled in another time and place for someone else who may need it.

Allow the breath to flood your inner landscape with vitality and sustenance,

Noticing how cooling it is as you welcome it in,

And as it departs,

Become aware of how the fire within warms the breath like a gentle summer breeze.

This breath is a continuum and a conduit of life force and healing.

It transforms and empowers,

Nourishing the plant life in great forests and endless fields,

And then returning to you in the gift of life-sustaining oxygen,

Completely unconditional in its gifts.

Become aware of its subtlety,

Its origins,

That this breath is completely involuntary.

It is not initiated by you.

It is infinite life force seeking to fill a void,

Seeking its completion in you.

All it asks is that you take part in the dance,

That you share your frequency with it,

Becoming a collaborator in the vast work of art that is the cosmos.

So now,

In this moment,

I want you to think about what you want to create for today,

For tomorrow,

Or as far down the road as you would like,

And flood the vessel that is your body with the essence of it.

What it looks like,

Sounds like,

What it tastes like.

Be as detailed as possible.

How does it feel in your body?

How do you feel when experiencing it?

What is its energetic signature?

And when you're ready,

Breathe in deeply and surrender this feeling to the breath itself,

Weaving your energetic signature in and through it,

And on the exhale,

Release it into the field,

Permeating the cosmos with your creation.

Continue with this breath till you feel you have fully infused it with your intention,

With the certainty that a great chrysalis of your creation is taking shape in the quiet corners of nature's intelligence,

Returning to you in physical form when you are ready to receive it.

The breath is the heartbeat of the universe.

It is its rhythm.

It is its mantra.

It is your tethering to all life force,

Here and beyond.

When we practice simple breathing for just a few minutes a day,

We enter into a deeper connection with all that is.

We experience this relationship and how we can work with the breath to heal,

To calm,

To clear our heads,

And to create whatever we desire.

Thank you for experiencing the beauty of the breath with me today.
