Of nature.
Today is the last day just so that you're aware of the last day of satsang and the last day of satsang and after today there will be a short break,
Two week break for everyone to explore more deeply the practice by perhaps remembering the various points that are important to put into practice to understand and remembering those points in daily situations and perhaps just going through the practices that we've been working with over the last few weeks,
Going through those and just testing things out for yourself to see how these wonderful wisdoms work in practice in everyday life in sort of mundane situations and in deep meditational situations.
It's good to always experiment with these practices because they're so easily forgotten.
Anyway,
I will begin very very soon now just making sure that you are relaxed and open and receptive and we will begin the transmission.
Deep breath as you let go,
Of the mundane,
Of the mundane world and coming back to mindfulness.
This simply means that you are open and receptive to the information flow that is happening within yourself and also the information that is there right within your experience.
Mindfulness simply means that you open up to perception,
You open up to your own emotions in a way that is not reactive,
But you're just there detached and observing the emotions from a very positive frame of reference,
Not from the perceptions of experience of past or future,
But rather from this present moment.
So your attention,
Your focus is not caught by your moods or caught by your reactivities and to certain situations.
You're simply tracking that process of experience that's happening within this moment by being aware.
So it's consciousness that helps you to track the process rather than get caught within the process itself and then lose your perspective or lose your receptivity to the information.
So very easily,
It happens so very easily for most people to lose themselves in a mood or in a reactive process or emotional process or in excitement or sadness or unhappiness or joy.
So there is no problem experiencing those aspects of manifestation,
But if we lose ourselves in those aspects,
Then very often we don't have a reference within consciousness to come back to.
And it is normal to come back to the space that you are comfortable within.
So if your mind is comfortable within a state of agitation,
It's comfortable being moody,
Reactive,
Angry,
Blaming the world for this,
Getting lost in whichever process that the mind,
Ego gets lost in,
Then it's very easy to fall into those habits and hold on to those habits as if they are reality,
As if that is the real.
Of course,
Happiness is a reflection of consciousness.
So if you lose yourself in happiness,
That is not the type of happiness that we usually seek,
The happiness that fulfills certain desires or needs,
The happiness that fulfills certain expectations or belief systems.
If we are simply happy for no other reason than being ourselves,
Then everything within that experience reflects consciousness.
So we haven't lost ourselves in the reactive process of the mind or the egoic process that the mind creates within its structure.
Then we just simply come back to remembering that we are much more than that perception that the mind believes to be our truth or reality.
And we can see this.
It's not that this is just a sort of philosophy tracking the process of coming back to consciousness and identifying the indicators that show us that we are not comfortable within,
Say,
Being present to ourselves within the experience of just opening up to the joy,
Happiness and bliss of being.
There are indicators that clearly show us that we're not comfortable with this expansion or this mode of transcendence that happens naturally when you let go of the reactive.
There are indicators that show us this simply because those indicators are there.
And when we are aware and open to those indicators in a way that is conscious,
Then it's very,
Very easy to recognize if we are present to our experience or if we are caught in the habitual mode of thinking that sometimes is very,
Very,
Very subtle.
So it's not that it's so tangible that we can say,
Oh,
Here we go again.
I'm reactive.
I'm this.
I'm that.
The sense of identity within the experience is lost simply because that reactive process is part of your experience.
So the reactive process pulls your attention and somehow limits consciousness to just that focus that then becomes reactive in itself.
So your consciousness is lost or forgotten or somehow not present to the experience because your mind becomes so very attached to the situation.
So the indicators could be,
For example,
The way that you gesture.
So if you gesture to people,
Oh,
This world that I live in is a terrible place.
I'm not happy with the world.
I don't like the world.
The world has always treated me badly.
Your gestures cannot really lie unless you're a politician,
Some sort of politician that has learned the sort of body posture,
Communications and gestures so that you can trick people.
But it takes a lot of effort and most of us don't really waste too much time doing that unless we want to manipulate situations for our own good,
Which in the end isn't really for our own good.
This turns out to create suffering.
So gestures are more easily recognizable simply because they don't go through the process of perceptions and the structure of perceptions that then is filtered through mind,
Thoughts or belief systems or whatever.
These indicators,
Such as gestures,
Say the way that you hold your body or posture,
Your voice,
Habits,
The way that you do things.
Like if you're nervous,
I've seen some people who are nervous for whatever reason and then they scratch themselves or they do something that is a nervous sort of habit.
You recognize that these indicators are not bad in themselves.
I think they're very,
Very useful when utilized in a conscious way.
So you're assessing the situation by tracking these indicators.
I call them tracking.
I call this process tracking because it's almost like an adventure.
You're tracking down clues that help you to understand what it means to come back to a state of discernment.
Okay,
This doesn't really serve any purpose.
I don't need to sort of climb this mountain here because that doesn't take me anywhere.
The map shows me,
My discernment shows me that my intuition of turning to the right or turning to the left or doing this or doing that is more useful.
Then you can use the indicators,
Your gestures,
Your posture,
Your voice,
Your habits,
The way that you do things,
The way that you feel about things,
But not feelings themselves.
Just the habitual side of the process that we all go through as human beings.
You can use those indicators as a way to discern and be intuitive.
Focus your intuition to see really what's happening behind this dialogue that I call the manifestation of life,
This process of being alive.
And when you can use discernment in this way,
And it's not like it requires a sort of massive amount of energy and thinking,
Okay,
What am I doing wrong here?
Or okay,
You know,
Is my mood perfect for being open and receptive?
It's not that sort of discernment that I'm speaking about.
It's sort of discernment that happens by itself.
You know,
When it's almost like when you're sitting in a way that's uncomfortable and your body just goes numb or there is a tingling in your leg or tingling because of the way that you're constricted or holding your posture,
Which is limiting the flow of energy,
You recognize it.
So the indicators are not there for you to sort of contemplate and philosophize about,
Okay,
Are these indicators good?
Are they bad?
You know,
Let me weigh them up.
Let me think about them.
Let me perceive them.
The indicators are direct indicators that speak to your intuitive present state of being.
This is why Jesus,
For example,
Spoke about coming back to this childlike space and mystics speak about coming back to your heart.
These indicators don't need the egoic mind to think about them or to worry about them or to get caught creating another process where you lose consciousness.
You lose the level of consciousness that allows you to be intuitive and discerning in that way where you can sort of read the message that's behind the message.
And,
You know,
That sounds a bit esoteric,
But you know what it's like,
You know,
Sometimes you just know things and that's the message when you're aware enough.
But sometimes you don't know anything because you're not really aware of anything.
You're caught by your mood or you're caught by your anger or your emotions or your excitement,
Say,
Because you think you're going to be something.
I'm going to be the winner.
I'm going to do this.
I'm going to do that.
You know,
Ego mind plays the game to excite you.
So it's not real excitement.
It's just a need or a sort of desire that's being created by the mind that then excites the mind to think,
Oh,
Perhaps there is something there.
You know,
All these things that naturally happen to everyone confuse the message that is happening within the intuitive conscious aspect of our being.
So,
You know,
If you're excited by an idea and you're sort of building upon that excitement and idea,
You think,
Okay,
That's life.
I'm excited to do this.
I'm excited to do that.
And you lose the process of consciousness.
This means tracking what's going on and observing the indicators so that you can discern and let go of that which doesn't really bring you back to the present moment,
Back home.
That's what the map is all about.
That's what orientation is all about.
It's listening to the message behind the message.
This means that,
Okay,
I don't need to climb that mountain to find out that that mountain doesn't actually take me there.
But many people do.
Okay,
Let me go through this process.
I'll learn.
There is some learning in that process,
But there is no learning and wasting time.
You know,
If you waste time,
You waste time.
You know,
Time is precious.
And so the intuitive aspect of our energy is inbuilt into our every person,
Every person has this intuitive ability that has been forgotten because we're so busy climbing the mountains and we're so busy climbing those mountains that we feel that we're doing something.
So I'm living my life climbing the mountains.
It's hard work,
But I'm living my life.
But it's not really living life.
Because you lose touch with the message and the message that comes from within this present moment,
From within this heartfelt connection to this present moment doesn't mean that you get caught in your belief systems or your past experiences or your future perceptions or egoic sort of needs and desires manifested in all sorts of ways that the mind plays with.
There is more or your childhood or your traumas or your sadness or your this or your that.
Okay.
It's not a problem to think about this for a little while,
But to climb the mountain to try to sort of resolve that issue of unhappiness that's created because you lose touch with this moment,
Your heart,
The space of coming back home here to this moment.
It doesn't serve anything.
This is why tracking the indicators and discerning that which isn't important allows for consciousness to be more intuitive,
Allows for consciousness to expand.
I mean,
Consciousness is always there,
But you're not always there present to consciousness.
So when you expand the process of your awareness so that consciousness is there in this way,
And what you are tracking is your own inner ability,
Your own inner ability to empower your intuition so that what you are experiencing is the meaning,
Is the essential quality that's behind the message.
So you know,
You know when you really know how things are,
You know,
You just know,
Oh,
Meditation is perfect.
I know even though it's difficult and the process doesn't really flow in an easy way,
I know that this is taking me back home.
So I'm not saying that mountains are impossible to climb.
You know,
Sometimes I remember sitting in meditation and it was very,
Very difficult.
For many years,
It was very difficult.
Now,
I don't say this to worry you or to sort of put you off sitting in meditation,
But sometimes we have to climb mountains,
But they are mountains that we've discerned as important to climb.
This means that we've chosen from a space of freedom to climb those mountains.
We are not habituated in a way to be so reactive that we feel that,
Or we imagine that that mountain is there because it has to be climbed.
Sometimes we have to climb the mountain simply because by climbing the mountain,
You get to a space where you're free.
For some people,
There is no mountain to climb.
It's just,
You know,
You're born into a space of freedom.
You know,
And you're,
I don't know,
People say your karma,
Your,
The genetics are,
And your habits and your family and your,
The situation around you is just perfect,
You know.
So there aren't that many mountains to climb,
But for most of us,
The challenges of life mean that,
Means that we have to really be aware enough to choose where we focus our energy.
Do we climb every mountain that shows up in the orientation in our journey of life?
You know,
Then we will just spend time being,
Utilizing a lot of energy,
Climbing mountains and being depressed about the situation because we will just think,
Okay,
The life is all about,
My life is all about climbing mountains.
We'll forget that when we climb a mountain,
Sometimes it's not about climbing the next mountain,
But it's about appreciating the fact that the wisdom that's there that you're able to see now,
Because you have a better perspective,
You can sort of see all that is around you,
Means that that in itself helps you to make the choice.
It shows you the indicators,
So that you can be discerning in your intuitive connection to the world,
To yourself,
Helps you to make that choice so that you can see what's behind the manifestation of life.
So,
You know,
It's almost like going to the movies.
You don't keep playing the same movie over and over and over again.
You perhaps need to sit for a few moments and just understand,
Okay,
This movie really helped me to discern something about my life.
It helped me.
Usually that's what makes a good movie.
It touches some aspect of humanity's experience.
And there is a message there behind the message.
And a good movie is always like this.
It just shows you something.
Sometimes you just need to sit in stillness so that the process of discernment really happens.
Many people forget this.
You know,
I remember sitting in meditation.
It was very difficult in the beginning,
But then after a while,
I just sat there in stillness and I thought to myself,
I didn't realize I was sitting in stillness.
I thought to myself,
Wow,
Things have changed.
And I didn't even realize that the change was happening.
It's almost as if the change sort of just crept up from nowhere.
And all of a sudden I was just sitting in deep,
Deep stillness.
And the process of discernment was happening without me actually putting any effort into thinking,
Okay,
That gesture,
That posture,
Breathing in this way,
Connecting to different aspects of my awareness connected.
I didn't have to do anything.
Just the stillness in itself created this connection that went beyond my previous experience of climbing the mountain.
All of a sudden things just fell into place.
And this is of course,
Everyone that's practiced meditation for a long time knows this experience.
This is just coming back to the mindful state of awareness that is very much present to this moment.
And this means that you don't let go of negativities,
Say difficult emotions or certain habits or the process of just being a person,
Reacting and all these things that people do.
But somehow your intuition becomes much more focused.
And it's like a torch that you're able to shine and say,
Okay,
Even though it's dark and I'm still journeying,
Still trying to find my way through,
I don't know,
The forest or through this jungle or whatever it is,
And I've got my torch.
I'm able to see more clearly and I'm comfortable.
I'm enjoying.
I remember enjoying walking through the forest,
You know,
And it was quite a dangerous place.
Really dangerous actually.
When I think about it,
I don't think anyone would do it really knowing how dangerous the situation was.
And I was by myself and I was lost.
Actually I was lost in the Amazon,
Can you believe?
I couldn't find my way.
And it's very interesting when you panic when you,
And I didn't.
The thing was I was having fun.
I was walking around,
Lost in the middle of,
I don't know where,
You know,
The Amazon forest is massive somewhere and couldn't find my way back to the little hamlet where I was living.
I could just couldn't find my way back.
So I just walked and enjoyed myself.
See that,
Isn't that fun really?
Isn't that fun when things aren't working and there are challenges and mountains,
You know,
Like I'm lost here in the Amazon,
I might die.
You know,
I stepped on a snake,
You know,
And still I was happy.
I stepped on a snake,
But luckily,
Luckily,
And it was a very,
Very poisonous snake.
If it had bitten me,
Three minutes and I would be gone.
Luckily I had my boots on,
My Wellington boots.
I was like,
You know,
Funny in that environment because people used to say Tony with his Wellington boots,
You know,
Very English,
Wellington boots,
You know,
For the rain.
But here it was for the Amazon because I didn't like all that mud and squishy stuff that I was stepping on,
Including I didn't like stepping on snakes.
So there you go.
You know,
It helped me because somehow the snake wasn't able to actually bite me,
You know,
Bit my boots.
Now I was still happy.
That was the thing,
You know,
I was walking around,
Okay,
Here I almost died bitten by,
You know,
Poisonous snake.
I don't know what type of snake,
But it was definitely poisonous.
And because you can tell,
You know,
In the Amazon,
The ones that are poisonous and this was very poisonous.
And I was just still happy.
See when you're in touch with your intuition doesn't mean,
And consciousness,
It doesn't mean that things just sort of transform into this sort of space of,
I don't know,
Heaven.
And you just reach like a state where everything is perfect.
Things don't change.
The world that we're living through or in or because of,
This world doesn't change,
But our habits change.
Indicators,
My gesture was a gesture of positivity.
My posture was a posture of receptivity.
My voice was a voice of,
I love being here.
Life is precious.
And my intuition was able to somehow without me knowing,
Guide me back.
That was what was interesting.
If I had panicked,
I wouldn't be here today.
If I had panicked and you would,
You can't say,
Okay,
I can't panic.
I can't panic.
I can't panic about this because if I panic,
I won't make it back.
I won't find my way through life.
That's paranoia.
That would be a stress,
An amount of stress that would release so much cortisol.
You would really be fighting your own energy and you wouldn't have the energy to find your way through the maze of confusions that the ego mind creates and life creates because that's the manifestation of life.
Life is life.
And it doesn't really matter.
It doesn't matter what you're going through.
In the end,
When you're free,
When you're free enough to be in touch with that which allows your heart to just connect to the world in such a way that makes your connection more conscious,
So your connection is real,
So that you're not disconnected from what's going on,
Then your awareness allows you to move even beyond the mundane world into a conscious state of awareness that allows you to access the very core source of communication,
Which I am labeling as intuition.
It's a very limited sort of understanding of this connection,
But intuition is very much part of the process of meditation,
Very much what happens when you track and you discern those indicators and let them go and focus your energy so that that light that you're shining from your torch or that light that is your consciousness can really focus so very clearly that there is no doubt.
So today and in the next few weeks as you breathe in and breathe out,
Letting go of the sort of worry,
Those habits that keep repeating themselves as you do this,
Come back to understanding that life,
Despite being an interesting journey,
Life is not about getting somewhere.
It's about changing your connection in this moment to the process of being alive,
Just being connected,
Being present here,
Connected in a way that goes far beyond conceptual understanding of what connection means.
Just letting go so that you're present,
Connected,
Deep breath connected to the beautiful manifestation that is life.
Deep breath.
You may wish to continue in meditation for a few more moments.
Thank you.
You you

This was excellent. However it is a talk not a meditation. At least for me.
