Welcome to the root chakra meditation.
It is recommended to take a comfortable seat,
Allowing for the hips to be pressed firmly into the earth space.
However,
You may recline and get as comfortable as is possible.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze down and out a few feet in front of you.
Take a moment to observe your breath just as it is.
Take a nice long exhale through your mouth and begin to inhale for the count of 1,
2,
3,
Pause,
Exhale,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Exhale,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Inhale for 1,
2,
3,
And pause.
Exhale,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Inhale,
1,
2,
3,
Pause,
Exhale,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Begin to draw focus to the base of your spine.
Allow your hips and glutes to soften and ground firmly into the earth.
With each round of breath,
Notice if you can ground a little bit more.
Can you see a bright red ball of light at the base of your spine?
With each inhale,
The ball of light begins to shrink and on the exhale,
It expands.
Notice how the bright red rays of light beam in and throughout this space.
Feel the radiant heat of the rays as they circulate throughout this space.
Allow each round of breath to release more grounding and more healing.
Give yourself permission to embrace this grounding and healing energy.
If it feels right for you,
You can silently repeat,
I am firmly grounded.
As you continue with each round of breath,
Continue to draw your focus to the base of the spine with that bright red ball radiating in and throughout.
Imagine the rays of light assisting more and more grounding into the space.
I am firmly grounded.
Know that you deserve to be grounded and to be healed in your heart,
Your body,
Your mind,
And your spirit.
Begin to draw awareness back to the space around you,
Adding in purposeful breathing.
Place one hand in this space here and the other hand on top.
Take a few more rounds of grounded breath with nice deep belly full inhales and long drawn out exhales.
Show yourself gratitude for showing up for this practice today.
If not already,
Begin to gently open your eyes,
Bringing awareness back to the space around you and maybe even adding some gentle movement to the body.
Thank you for joining me in this meditation for the root chakra.
