Surrender can often be confused with giving up or quitting creating a challenge for one to release. This meditation encourages you to give yourself the time, space, and permission to surrender to these few moments. You will be reminded that you are deserving of peace, rest, and surrender.

Welcome to today's meditation on surrender.

I invite you to come into either a comfortable seat using whatever props allow for you to be comfortable,

Or you may recline.

Whatever option you choose,

Allow the spine to be straight-ish.

If it feels right for you,

Gently close your eyes or just soften the gaze down and out a few feet in front of you.

Then begin to draw awareness to your breath.

Take a moment to just notice its natural flow.

Check in with your body.

Release the jaw.

Relax your tongue.

Allow the shoulders to drop away from the ears.

Soften in your belly and release your hips.

Observe your breath.

Notice the in and out of its flow.

I invite you to place both hands on your heart and begin to inhale for 1,

2,

3,

4,

Pause.

Exhale 1,

2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Inhale 1,

2,

3,

4,

And pause.

Exhale 2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Inhale 1,

2,

3,

4,

Pause.

Exhale 2,

3,

4,

5,

6.

Take about 2 to 3 more rounds,

Just like that.

After your last round,

Either continue with this breath or you can continue with the other breath.

Exhale 3,

4,

5,

6.

Continue with this breath pattern or return to the natural flow of your breath.

As you continue to tap into your breathing,

Feel the flow of energy with each inhale.

Give yourself permission to surrender to each exhale.

Feel your body begin to become heavier and heavier as you surrender into your support.

Begin to allow for your thoughts to just flow.

Without the need to change them,

To stop them,

Or to judge them.

Surrender to this moment,

This time,

And into this space.

Begin to draw awareness back into the space around you,

Adding in some purposeful breathing and maybe some gentle movement in the body.

If not already there,

Bring your hands back to your heart space.

Take a moment for showing up for this practice and allowing for yourself to surrender to this moment.

Remind yourself that you are allowed to let go,

To release,

To surrender.

Thank you for joining me for this surrender practice.
