Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.
Today we are on day 11 of our 12 days of gratitude journaling.
And today I was inspired to use a deck called Believe in Your Own Magic by Amanda Lovelace.
I was drawn to this deck when I first saw it because the pictures are real people.
And what are real people you might ask?
Well they're people of all shapes,
All sizes,
All colors and they just look like the people that we see every day.
As you know I love my card decks but let's face it some of them have pictures of these perfect goddesses and gods with perfect bodies and beautiful skin and flowing hair.
And yes those cards also bring me joy but this one spoke to me like no other card deck ever has.
So when I first saw it I was drawn to it.
I had to have it and I love the artwork.
So I randomly pulled a card and I got number four,
Mirror.
Treat your body like the palace it is.
You've been feeling self-conscious as of late but the answer isn't to change anything about yourself.
The answer is to learn to love the body you've been given.
Avoid those crashed diets,
That extreme exercise or any other unhealthy behavior.
Take strides towards a healthy mindset that accepts yourself as you are not what you feel pressured to be.
Well that card definitely speaks to me as someone who has struggled with body image and weight and all those other things that I'm sure many of you can relate to.
I really feel those words and it took a long time but I'm finally at a place in my life where I focus on the gratitude for the body that I have as opposed to scrutinizing every number on the scale,
Everything I put in my mouth.
Yes I still struggle with that from time to time.
But I do my best to bring myself back to the present moment to appreciate the body I have,
The health that I have,
The hair,
The skin,
All those things that we love to examine and scrutinize.
I've made peace with them and I've focused on the things that I love and that definitely has helped me change my frame of mind.
So today I was thinking let's write about a food that feels good in your body and I don't want you to focus on something healthy unless a healthy food is what makes you feel good.
Focus on something that you enjoy,
That you love,
Whether it's a piece of fruit or a cookie or a cupcake,
That's up to you.
But let's focus on that food,
Let's write about why it makes you happy,
Why you have gratitude for it and let's put some time on the clock,
Listen to once again Blossom Violet's beautiful music and let's do some journaling.
All right my friends,
I hope that gave you enough time to think about food that feels good in your body and to write about it and to feel it and be grateful for it.
For me that food was my favorite breakfast which I have to share is peppers and eggs.
I'm not one who cooks but I got this recipe about four years ago and I am in love with it.
It's so simple,
I cut a pepper in half,
I drop an egg in each half,
A little salt and pepper,
Put it in my toaster oven,
You can put it in a real oven but again not being a cook I like the convenience and I bake it for 20 minutes.
They're delicious,
They look amazing and they make me feel good because not only have I done something good for my body but they're simple.
I don't like spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
I would love to hear in the comments what that food was for you because I'm always curious to know what other people are thinking and I hope that writing in this way has given you time to show appreciation and gratitude for the things in your life that just bring you joy.
And speaking of joy,
Tomorrow is day 12 so I'm looking forward to a special gratitude journaling tomorrow as we do our last day of our 12 days of gratitude journaling.
Until then,
Shine bright and have an amazing day.
