This meditation is for you if you have just lost all sense of control with food.
We're going to take a moment to slow down and just allow your body to soften in this moment,
Releasing any judgments that you might have for yourself.
Let's start with putting down whatever you have in your hands,
Taking a moment here to just quietly come into a sense of compassion and awareness.
Find a quiet space and gently close down the eyes.
Bring your right hand onto your heart space and gently allow the breath to travel through the hand all the way into your belly.
On the exhale,
Allow the breath to travel from the belly back through your hand,
Through your heart.
Inhale through the heart.
Allow the breath to move all the way down into your belly space.
Exhale from the belly back to the heart.
Allow your muscles to soften quietly.
Just tuning into this moment.
And gently just allow space so that you can slow down.
Slow down your thoughts and release all forms of judgment right now in this moment.
I know you've lost control with food and I know how powerless that can feel.
However,
If you start adding insults and shame to the situation,
You are only going to make it worse.
And it might just set you off into another blowout.
Now gently just breathe into your hand.
And with compassion and kindness,
Just allow yourself to be here in this moment.
No matter how uncomfortable.
Just tuning into what your body truly needs.
Whether you like it or not,
The emotional eating was there for a reason.
Something is out of balance.
It's taking a moment now to scan your body.
And tune into what you truly need.
What needs to be heard.
What needs to be felt.
What needs to be said.
And what needs to be expressed.
And gentle compassion,
Just allow yourself to truly tune into what you need right now as gentle support.
Take your time to soften and release all forms of judgment on yourself.
Banish guilt and don't allow shame to pull you down.
This is a moment in time.
And you have many other moments to choose otherwise.
Let's take a moment to just nourish yourself in this moment.
Sending yourself compassion.
And gently forgive yourself right now in this moment.
For whatever you need.
Gently wrap both hands around your shoulders into a nice hug.
Hold yourself tight.
Just allow yourself this moment of compassion.
This moment of self-care.
Gently bring your awareness back into this room.
Start by deepening into your breath.
Invite some movement in your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Namaste.
