Welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you relax and drift into a peaceful night's sleep.

Whether you're lying down or seated in a comfortable chair,

Ensure that you're in a position where you can fully relax.

Begin by taking a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs with fresh air.

Hold it for a moment and then exhale slowly,

Letting go of any tension or stress from the day.

Feel the weight of your body and allow it to sink in deeper into your bed or chair.

Now let's do a quick body scan.

Starting from the top of your head,

Notice any sensations or tension.

Imagine a warm soothing light traveling from your head,

Relaxing each part of your body as it moves by.

Your forehead,

Eyes,

Cheeks and jaw,

All relaxing and letting go.

Now bring your attention to your heart center.

As you breathe in,

Imagine a soft glowing light emanating from your heart,

Expanding with each inhale and contracting with each exhale.

This light is filled with love,

Peace and tranquility.

As you continue to breathe,

You might notice thoughts popping into your mind and that's okay.

Simply acknowledge them and let them float away like leaves on a gentle stream.

Return your focus to your breath and the calming rhythm of your heart.

You're doing wonderfully.

In a moment I will leave you with the soft ambient sounds to guide you deeper into relaxation.

Remember there is no right or wrong way to meditate.

Simply be present and enjoy this moment of peace.

Slowly start becoming aware of your surrounds and noises in the room.

Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes as you slowly come back from a meditative state.

When you're ready you can open your eyes or simply let yourself drift off into a wonderful sleep.
