New Years Guided Meditation allows us to review, learn from and grow. Grab a notebook & pen in case you would like to make notes. This meditation allows us to scan the year that went by recalling the highs, lows, etc., and remember the challenging and the most favourite moments of the year gone by. This is a great way to start the new year and focus on a more positive way of handling challenging situations. Thank you for taking the time out to review, share positive feedback and encouragement

Namaste and welcome to the New Year's Meditation.

This is more of a review for the year that went by.

So it can be done at any point in time during the year,

At the end of the month or even a week.

Just to take a little bit of stock of how things are progressing in our lives.

And to decide the moments that we'd like to replicate and the moments that we'd like to try not to replicate in the future.

I'd like to invite you to close your eyes gently and we'll slow the breath down by taking five deep slow breaths in through the nostrils and out.

Just watching the mind settle.

Remember how you physically and mentally feel by scanning your entire body and then observing your thoughts without judgment.

I'd like to now invite you to replay the year that's gone by slowly in your mind.

Just remembering highs and lows,

Big and the small moments,

Whatever really stands out.

Recalling the people moments,

Emotions,

Activities,

Details,

Mistakes.

Going through the memories and try and stay with each moment before moving on to the next.

Good morning.

.

I'd like to now ask you to perhaps settle your attention on the biggest challenge that you faced in the year that went by.

And in what ways did this experienced person or situation challenge you?

What would you have done differently given the opportunity to repeat this experience?

What did you learn from this experience?

And what intention can you make for this year with this lesson in mind?

What would you have done differently given the opportunity to repeat this experience?

What would you have done differently given the opportunity to repeat this experience?

What would you have done differently given the opportunity to repeat this experience?

I'd like to now bring your attention to perhaps the best moment from last year.

Or a favorite moment.

And hold that at the center of your mind,

Taking it in through all of your senses.

Replaying the moment in your mind's eye.

Really feeling it in your cells with your entire mind and heart.

Remembering your state of mind.

Almost as if you're reliving this amazing moment.

Try not to rush through this.

But remember how the body felt,

How your mind felt.

What your energy felt like.

Perhaps some colors or images or sensations really stood out.

Maybe even smells or tastes.

How do you recall this positive memory?

Identify what feelings this experience carried with it.

Create an intention to perhaps imbibe more of these feelings in the coming year,

In the future,

In whatever ways you are able to.

What do you need to do to actually experience more feelings like these in your life?

What is in your control?

Is there anybody in your life that can help you replicate these instances?

And can you remember for a moment,

How many times have you been maybe 60 minutes or 90 minutes or so?

Gently bring your awareness back to your breath transitioning back to the present moment.

Taking another three deep inhales and slowly exhaling.

Now,

Long Kiss in your hand,

Reconnecting with the year that went by is a great way to identify the types of feelings you want more of or do not want in your life.

Take a moment before you rise from this meditation to perhaps set a sankalpa or an intention for how you would like to replicate the positives.

When you are ready,

Gently open your eyes.

And if you would like to make any notes or repeat this meditation,

It is a great way to reinforce the positives.

Thank you once again.

Have a lovely year.

Namaste.
