Hi everyone,

I'm Rahul and I welcome all of you to the session.

Please lie down comfortably on your back,

Arms relaxed beside your body,

Palms facing upward and close your eyes gently.

Allow the body to become still.

Make any small adjustments to feel completely supported by the ground.

Feel the weight of the body sinking into the earth.

Let go of the need to hold yourself up.

The practice of yoga nidra is a practice of rest,

Awareness and inner journeying.

Set a gentle intention.

I am open to peace,

To wisdom and to stillness.

I am open to peace,

To wisdom and to stillness.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Notice the natural rhythm without trying to change it.

Breathing in,

Feel the cool air entering the nostrils.

Breathing out,

Feel the warmth leaving the body.

With every breath,

Feel the body softening,

Melting,

Releasing tension.

Imagine the breath as waves of the ocean,

Rising,

Falling,

Flowing effortlessly.

Stay with this rhythm for a few moments.

Breath as waves,

Mind becoming calm,

Body becoming still.

Now in your mind's eye,

Visualize yourself standing near the ocean.

The vast horizon stretches before you.

The gentle sound of waves reaching your ears.

Smell the salt in the breeze.

Soft scent beneath your feet grounds you.

As you gaze at the waves,

Notice how they rise and fall,

Yet the ocean remains the same.

Waves are like joys and sorrows,

They come and go,

But self,

Like the ocean,

Remains unshaken.

That's a teaching from the waves.

Feel the vastness of the ocean,

Endless,

Infinite.

Beyond measure,

This is the vastness of your own consciousness.

Within you lies this depth,

This infinite silence.

Now imagine rivers flowing into the ocean from all sides.

The ocean receives them all without resistance,

Without overflow.

So too you can receive all experiences of life,

Pleasant and unpleasant,

With equanimity.

Notice the hidden treasures beneath the surface.

Whirls,

Corals,

Gents.

The ocean reminds you when you dive deep within,

Treasures of wisdom and peace are waiting.

As the waves calm,

The surface reflects the moon clearly.

Your mind too,

When still,

Reflect truth and beauty.

Whisper inwardly,

I am vast like the ocean,

I am steady,

I am infinite,

I am peace.

Allow yourself to rest in this ocean of being,

Floating,

Held,

Safe,

Infinite.

Now slowly let the image of the ocean dissolve.

Bring awareness back to your breath.

Back to your body,

Lying here.

Feel the ground beneath you,

Holding you.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

When ready,

Roll to your right side and slowly sit up,

Keeping the eyes closed for a few moments.

Carry the wisdom of the ocean with you,

Calm,

Vast,

Steady,

And infinite.

When you are ready,

Softly open your eyes.

Thank you for joining this session.

Namaste.

Stay safe.
