Gratitude allows us to live in the moment and be grateful that we can enjoy the small things in life. Being in the present with gratitude reminds us that all we need is always with us and we have total freedom to connect daily to this feeling.

Hello and welcome to this gratitude meditation.

Before we start I'd like you to take a moment to bring to mind something you are grateful for.

This could be a person,

An animal,

A place or a thing.

Bring to mind something you are grateful for and just hold that feeling that comes up when you think of that thing you are grateful for.

Hold that feeling.

Now take some time to focus on the world around you and say thank you.

Feel into the gratitude.

Feel the magic of gratitude that is embracing you.

Feel the energy of gratitude you feel when in a place of safety.

Now hug yourself.

As you hug yourself be grateful for your body.

Now you are aware that you have a body.

Be grateful for your mind.

How does gratitude make you feel?

Be grateful for your emotions and that you have a chance to feel many ways on different days.

So let gratitude be the light that lights up your passions.

Let gratitude be that nourishment that you hold deep within your heart.

Live in the moment and be grateful that you can enjoy the small things in life.

And rejoice in the feeling that you have everything you need right now and what you have right now is all you need to be happy.

So just feel into that feeling of gratitude.

Even if you feel some negative emotions and there may be times when you don't feel the calm and the peace you want to have in your life.

But be grateful.

Be grateful that you have more than others.

Feel into that feeling of gratitude.

Feel the world around you.

Feel your emotions,

The bad and the good.

And be grateful that you can feel everything at its best.

Breathe into that feeling of gratitude.

Breathe in and out.

How does it feel when you're grateful?

How good does it feel?

Breathe into that feeling.

Now think about where you live.

You have a place to live.

A place you call home.

A place where you can shut out the world.

Now bring yourself into that place.

Bring yourself into your world.

Already you will see in your world it is made up of things that you love.

Things you care about.

Things that make you happy.

Things that make you smile.

Feel the warmth.

Feel the energy around you as you begin to touch the things you love.

Feel into the vibrations.

Is it positive?

Is it lively?

Feel the energy around you.

Feel the energy surrounding you and surrounding the things you love.

Feel into that feeling of familiarity of the things you know so well.

And you're in a nice place that you know so well and you know you can relax.

In this moment of pure connection you finally open yourself up to what it is you have in your world.

All the incredible amazing things that usually you cannot see because of this crazy rhythm of daily life and all our routines.

Breathe in to gratitude.

Feel into gratitude.

How good does that feel?

Now bring to mind again that person or animal or that place or that simple thing that you had in mind at the start.

And breathe gently into the feeling.

And just fill up on that feeling.

Now is the time to be thankful for all you have.

Acknowledge all those things you have around you big and small.

And the way they make you feel.

Feel into the gratitude and acknowledge everything and everyone around you.

Now you can ignore that endless quest of always searching for something that you already have.

Hold that thing in your heart.

Hold it in your energy and be thankful you have it and you are exactly where you need to be right now.

So as you hold that feeling,

Breathe in,

In and out,

Just enjoying the moment and the pleasure of gratitude.

Now when you are ready,

Come back to yourself.

Come back to your space feeling safe,

Grateful and happy.

And I would like to end this meditation with a quote on gratitude from Melody Beatty.

She says,

Gratitude helps us stop trying to control outcomes.

It is the key that unlocks positive energy in our life.

It is the alchemy that turns problems into blessings and the unexpected into gifts.
