I know you may be carrying pain today.
Maybe it's the ache in your back when you first opened your eyes this morning.
Or the stiffness in your shoulders.
Or the heaviness in your head.
Or perhaps it's the pain that lives quietly inside.
A pain you can't show on the outside.
Today we are not going to fight that pain.
We are going to listen to it.
Close your eyes.
And let your hands rest gently on your lap or over your belly.
Take a slow,
Kind breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Feel your body's weight supported by the surface beneath you.
You don't need to hold anything up right now.
Let the earth or the chair carry you.
We are often told to think of pain as an enemy.
Something to battle,
Suppress or escape from.
But what if pain is a messenger?
What if it is your body's way to whisper?
It is your body's way of whispering.
Please listen to me.
Something needs your love.
In this space,
We will soften around our pain.
We will let it speak.
Gently bring your attention to the place in your body.
The place in your body that feels discomfort right now.
It might be sharp,
Dull,
Throbbing or tight.
Whatever it is,
Notice it without judgment.
Imagine placing a warm hand of compassion on that area.
Even if it's just in your mind,
Just imagine.
And now,
Instead of pushing the sensation away,
Say silently to it,
I am here.
I am listening.
With every breath in,
Imagine a soft golden light gathering where it hurts.
With every breath out,
Imagine that light carrying away the strain,
The ache,
The heaviness.
You might notice memories or emotions rising with the sensation.
Pain often carries a story.
If an image,
Thought or feeling comes up,
Welcome it gently.
Ask it,
What do you need me to know?
You don't have to fix it right now.
Just give it your listening.
Your body is not against you.
It is on your side always.
Every signal it sends,
Every ache,
Every whisper is a reminder.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Tend to me.
Even in pain,
Your body is trying to guide you back to your balance.
As we close,
Rest in the knowing that you are not separate from your healing.
You are the healer and the one being healed.
Your presence,
Your compassion is medicine.
Place your hands over your heart.
Whisper to yourself,
I am listening.
I am healing.
I am home.
I am listening.
I am healing.
I am at home.
Take one last slow breath in and release it fully.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Thank you for giving yourself this time.
May your body feel heard,
Your heart feel held and your inner healer keep guiding you whisper by whisper.
