Hello and welcome.
My name is Bailey and I'm a nurse practitioner turned Reiki master teacher and sound healer and I help people who are navigating anxiety,
Stress,
Or overwhelm or who are perhaps on a physical healing journey by bringing them more peace,
Balance,
And healing through my Reiki and sound healing music.
In our session today I'm going to be guiding you through a full body distance Reiki session as well as a yoga nidra practice to really help release and ease any anxiety that you may be experiencing.
So I invite you to go ahead and get your space nice and comfortable.
Perhaps laying on your bed or a sofa.
It can be nice to put a pillow or a bolster under your knees just to give your lower back a little bit of support and having a blanket or your covers handy is also a good idea because our body temperature often drops as we start to relax.
So once you get yourself all cozy and comfortable I invite you to gently close down your eyes bringing your awareness inwards and I'm going to begin sending you distance Reiki now and all you need to do is follow my voice as I guide you through this practice.
Let your body feel fully supported.
Let this be your time to rest,
To receive,
And to restore.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and slowly sigh it out through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale and gently sigh out your exhale completely.
Now letting the breath return to its natural rhythm I invite you to set your sankalpa,
Your heartfelt intention for this practice today.
It can be something simple like or perhaps peace lives within me.
Whatever you feel called to say is perfect for you and gently place this intention in your heart and silently repeat it to yourself three times.
Now we'll begin a journey of gentle awareness through the body bringing your attention to where I guide you.
Starting at your right hand,
Upper arm,
Right side of the chest,
Right waist,
Soul of the right foot,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Wrist,
The whole body as one,
Completely still.
Now gently bring your awareness to your breath and fall of your abdomen.
The gentle rhythm.
No need to change anything.
Just observe.
Notice how your breath soothes you.
Inhale calm,
Exhale tension.
Allow each breath to soften you.
Inhaling peace and with each exhale that peace is flowing through your body with ease.
Now imagine a place where you feel completely safe.
It could be real or maybe a cozy room,
A forest or the ocean.
Feel yourself there now.
Notice the sounds,
The temperature on your skin,
Colors of this place.
Everything in this place is comforting.
You feel calm,
You feel safe.
Stay here in your place.
Your peaceful,
Comfortable,
Safe place in this nourishing.
Now begin to bring your awareness back to the physical body.
Feel the ground beneath you,
The points of contact.
Gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes back into the body.
Take your time here.
There's no rush.
Perhaps you take a moment of gratitude for yourself as you have just given your body and mind a beautiful gift of relaxation and healing.
And know that this calm,
Safe place is within you always and you can return to it at any time.
