Take a moment to move in whatever way feels natural and intuitive to you.
Find some comfort in your body.
Maybe that means rolling your shoulders,
Rolling your ankles,
Stretching your legs,
Taking a big yawn,
Whatever you need to feel physically comfortable and at ease.
Go ahead and take that movement now.
And as you are checking in with your body,
You might notice places where your energy feels a little bit stuck,
Where you're stiff or sore.
So as we drop into this meditative space,
Try to send your breath into those areas.
Think about softening through the places where maybe you feel a little bit stuck or stagnant.
Imagine that your breath is like a warm golden light flowing into this part of your body and then just gently moving through it,
Creating softness,
Creating flexibility.
And at the same time,
Using your breath as a tool to help you relax.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
With every breath feeling warmer,
Softer,
More comfortable.
More flexible and more at ease in your body.
And as you breathe,
You might want to think about just elongating your inhales and exhales ever so slightly.
You don't have to do anything extreme,
But just inviting yourself to breathe a little more slowly and deliberately.
And as you do,
Imagine that warm golden light circulating through your whole body now,
Bringing a greater sense of brightness and energy as you inhale,
And then a nice sense of calm as you exhale.
And as you exhale,
Think about fortifying yourself as you breathe in,
Relaxing and releasing as you breathe out,
Letting that energetic breath circulate all the way through your body,
And let it touch every part of you,
From the top of your head to your fingertips,
All the way down to the bottoms of your feet.
Now from this place of deep relaxation,
Let's take a little visual journey.
And I want you to imagine in your mind's eye that you become aware of your surroundings,
And you're in a beautiful place in nature.
That feels particularly comforting and nourishing for you.
It could be a local park or a garden,
It could be the side of an ocean or lake,
The top of a mountain,
It may be a clearing in a forest,
It may be a beautiful place in nature.
Just let this place in nature materialize around you without thinking about it too much.
Whatever you see in your mind's eye is the exact right place for you to be right now.
And here in this space where we're surrounded by beauty,
By the smells of flowers or pine trees or the ocean breeze,
Whatever it is,
I want us to practice being radically aware and alive in this place,
Being completely present in this moment.
Focus on imagining how the air feels against your skin.
What can you hear around you?
What do you feel under your feet or under your body if you're visualizing yourself sitting down?
What can you smell?
What can you taste?
I want you to open yourself up completely to this place and this moment.
Allow yourself to become of this place.
Just as you are observing your surroundings,
The surroundings are observing you and you are all one.
And just as you allowed yourself to warm and soften from the inside,
Now I want you to let your whole body warm and soften and just melt into your surroundings.
And just feel how safe and welcome you are.
Feel how special it is to be alive in this moment,
Being fully,
Fully aware of every grain of sand,
Every leaf,
Every blade of grass,
Every flower petal,
Every wing on every insect,
Every feather on every bird.
Let it all become a part of you and you become a part of what you feel and see.
And as you exhale,
Continue to check in with your breath,
Inviting those inhales and exhales to be a little bit deeper and deeper.
Continuing to relax and release.
And allowing yourself to take in every little detail,
Whether visual,
Tactile,
Energetic,
Whatever your mind's eye can see.
And whatever your imagination can observe.
And now for the last part of our meditation,
I want you to visualize lifting up.
So you're moving up into the sky above the location where you spent your meditation,
Almost as if you were a drone or a bird or riding in a hot air balloon,
Lifting up,
Up,
Up until you can see the whole area from this elevated vantage point.
And now I want you to see this space and imagine that it is on a map.
And on the same map is your home,
The room where you are physically meditating right now.
And I want you to visualize the area in between the roads,
The planes,
Rivers,
Any terrain that might separate them,
But recognize that they are not in fact separated.
And any location where you are is always connected to any place you might go in your mind's eye,
Or any place that you might have visited in your life.
You have shared and exchanged energy in both of those places.
And both of those places are energetically connected by an infinite number of other connections and beings and threads and a vast energetic and physical web.
Let yourself really see this on the map and feel it.
Recognize that you have the power to travel back and forth to and fro anywhere you want,
Simply by tapping into this web,
This energetic map,
By carving out space and time to be transported.
And for now,
Let's bid a temporary farewell to your natural spot where you spent time and energized yourself today.
And imagine just pouring yourself back into your physical body,
Your physical space,
Where we began our meditation.
Once again,
Connecting to your breath,
Allowing the breath to fill you and nurture you and relax you here,
Bringing with you all of the gifts,
Beauty and comfort reminders of the healing power of the natural world,
Bringing that all back with you,
Recognizing that that's a part of you now.
And as we take a few final breaths here,
I want you to place your right hand over your heart chakra and then your left hand over your right and just breathe into your hands.
Reminding yourself of your relationship with your physical body,
The power of your breath,
The power of your mind,
And the power of your energetic body to connect with every other energetic body in the universe.
Thank yourself.
Thank your physical being.
Thank your breath.
Thank every part of you for working together to keep you alive,
To allow you to exist in this beautiful,
Complicated world.
Then as you feel ready,
You can release your hands,
Take any movement that you might want to take to feel more comfortable as you transition back from meditative state to your physical state,
Taking care of your physical self as you bring your awareness back into the room and in your own time,
Slowly and gently open your eyes.
