Welcome,

Dear soul,

To this third meditation from my Overwhelm to Coherence mini-series.

Today we explore something profoundly soothing,

Sound as coherence.

Sound is not just something we hear,

It is something we feel in the body.

The nervous system responds to rhythm,

To vibration,

To tone.

And when life feels overwhelming,

Sound can become a bridge.

A bridge from scattered energy back into safety,

Back into regulation,

Back into inner harmony.

So this meditation is an invitation to let resonance do what force cannot.

To let sound guide you home.

And as you notice the sounds changing during the meditation,

Just feel within.

Nothing to do,

Just feeling.

Today is a day to explore.

A space to soften.

A space to settle.

A space to return to coherence.

If you haven't already,

Allow your eyes to close and let your body be supported.

Taking a slow breath in through the nose and a long exhale through the mouth.

Again,

Breathing in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth.

Notice the simple rhythm of nice deep breaths in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth.

Already the body begins to listen.

Already the system begins to settle.

Now imagine your body is like an instrument and your breath is the tuning.

When we are overwhelmed,

It's like the strings are pulled too tight.

The system becomes tense,

Scattered,

On alert.

But sound,

Breath,

Rhythm can bring you back into harmony.

Now bring your awareness to your chest,

To your heart.

And imagine the heart has its own frequency,

Its own tone,

Its own steady hum.

Like a quiet song of life.

Now as a gentle healing sound surrounds you of crystal balls,

Notice the vibration within.

Just presence.

With each breath,

The sound becomes like a cocoon,

A field of safety.

The nervous system begins to understand.

I am held.

I can soften.

I can rest.

Let the sounds wash through the shoulders,

The throat,

The belly,

Down through the hips,

The legs,

All the way to the feet.

Like a deep exhale moving through the whole body.

That's right,

Just receiving.

Now imagine sound moving gently through you,

Like ripples through water.

Smoothing the sharp edges of stress,

Creating coherence.

One wave,

One rhythm,

One breath.

If thoughts arise,

Let them float and return into the vibration.

Return to the feeling.

Return to the tone of calm.

Softly affirm in your mind,

Sound brings me home.

Breath brings me back.

I am safe to settle.

I am returning to coherence.

As the music continues,

Feel the body synchronizing.

Like many parts becoming one.

Like scattered energy coming into harmony.

Now let everything simply be.

Breathing.

Listening.

Feeling.

No effort,

Just presence.

Resting in quiet resonance.

Where calm is not something you force,

But something you allow.

Take one more deep slow breath in.

And exhale slowly.

Feel the steadiness you've created.

The softness.

The inner harmony.

As you continue to listen to the sounds,

As you're slowly coming back,

Remember patterns in the nervous system and patterns in the mind can take time to change.

But every time you notice,

You are arriving home.

Every time you listen,

Change is happening.

That's right.

Each time you return.

Each time you practice.

You are embedding coherence into your system.

Like a new rhythm,

A new inner home.

And you can come back to this meditation and the others in this series again and again.

Letting the change become natural.

Letting calm become familiar.

You can do this.
