Welcome dear soul,

This is the first meditation in my overwhelm series,

So let's begin with the simple truth,

Your consciousness is not separate from your life.

Modern science and ancient wisdom both point towards something extraordinary,

That beneath the visible world is an unseen field,

A quantum field of energy,

Potential and connection.

I also call this the energy field of spirit,

The energy within,

And your awareness,

Your thoughts,

Your emotions,

Your presence are constantly interacting with this inner field.

When you feel overwhelmed,

It can seem like life is happening to you,

But coherence begins when you remember,

You are not only experiencing reality,

You are also participating in it,

So today we soften back into stillness and rest into the field of possibility.

If you haven't already,

Get comfortable in your position for this meditation,

Either seated or lying down,

And gently close your eyes,

Just allow yourself time to arrive.

Take a slow breath in,

And a long breath out,

Again deep breath in,

And a slow breath out,

Notice the surface beneath you,

The weight of your body being held,

Nothing to do,

Nothing to fix,

Just this moment,

And as you breathe these slow breaths,

Feel the system beginning to soften,

Because coherence begins here,

Not in the mind,

But in the body with the breath.

Now imagine that beneath your thoughts,

Beneath the noise of the day,

There is a deeper space,

A still field,

A quiet intelligence within,

Some call it the quantum field,

I call it spirit,

Some call it the great web of life,

But you do not need to understand it,

You only need to feel it,

Like a vast ocean of presence,

And you are floating gently within it,

You are held,

You are supported,

And connected to the field,

And now bring your awareness to the centre of your chest,

Your heart space,

Imagine your heart is like a tuning fork,

A signal,

A transmitter,

And as you breathe,

Your consciousness begins to organise,

Into harmony,

Into coherence,

Beginning to release the incoherence that feels like overwhelm,

That feels like scattered energy,

But as you continue with your slow mindful breaths,

You start to bring in coherence,

That's right,

When all the parts return into rhythm,

You start to bring in coherence,

One breath,

One heartbeat,

One presence,

Whisper softly in your mind,

I return to coherence,

I return to wholeness,

I return to the field of calm,

Now if you have been carrying stress,

Pressure,

Too many thoughts,

Too much doing,

Imagine you can offer it outwards,

Like placing a heavy backpack down,

Place it into the field around you,

The field can hold it,

The field can dissolve it,

Breath by breath,

Notice the mind unclench,

Let the shoulders drop,

Let your jaw soften,

And feel yourself being restored,

Not by effort,

But by surrender,

That's right,

Nothing to force,

Only allow,

Now rest in this awareness,

Not caught up in the storm,

But by watching the sky above it,

You are the consciousness behind experiences,

You are the stillness beneath sensations,

You are the witness,

And from this place,

The quantum field responds,

Not to panic,

Not to fear,

But to presence,

To coherence,

To love,

Take another deep breath in,

And slowly exhale,

Feel the simplicity of that breath,

Feel what it does to your body,

Take another deep breath in,

And exhale slowly,

Feel the steadiness returning,

And remember,

You are not separate from the universe,

You are an expression of it,

You are a wave within the ocean of the universe,

And a light within the field,

Softly affirm in your mind,

I am here,

I am coherent,

I am connected,

I am safe in the field of life,

And when you're ready,

Gently begin to return,

Begin by wiggling the fingers,

The toes,

Carrying coherence with you,

Feel once more into your body,

And just know,

Patterns take time to soften,

The nervous system learns through repetition,

And noticing is already change,

Each time you return to this,

Each time you breathe,

Each time you practice,

You are teaching your nervous system new things,

You are teaching your nervous system,

I am safe now,

You can come back to this meditation,

And the others in this series regularly,

Letting coherence become familiar,

Letting calm be your inner home,
